Brown & Sharpe 599-773 Plunger Release Magnet
The Brown & Sharpe 599-773 Plunger Release Magnet is used to locate screws or pins in recesses, and is capable of removing chips and ferrous dust from holes and slots as small as 1/4". It features a plunger released magnet for disengaging and a red, anodized aluminum body with a pocket clip. Magnetic bases are used to hold indicators at points along an item for high accuracy measurements. They are typically used by machinists, calibration labs, and in general setup situations. Brown & Sharpe manufactures precision measuring equipment and metrology hand tools. The company, founded in 1833, played a key role in setting industrial standards in the United States.
