Amprobe ACD-20SW Swivel Clamp Meter
The Amprobe ACD-20SW clamp meter measures voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, continuity, and temperature in electrical wires and cables up to 1.18in. (30mm) in diameter. This average-sensing meter helps provide accurate readings when measuring linear loads with a current or voltage that has a sinusoidal waveform. The clamp head swivels 180 degrees so that the display can be turned for greater readability and the jaw is designed for single-handed operation. The non-contact voltage indicators detects voltage from 70 to 600V AC, works on any range, and indicates the presence of alternating current (AC) voltage with a red indicator light and audible beep. The tester measures AC and direct current (DC) voltage up to 600V, AC current up to 400A, resistance up to 40 megaohms, and continuity up to 400 ohms. The unit is both autoranging and manually ranging, for quick tests and greater accuracy, respectively. The diode test function features a 1.2mA test current. The 3-3/4 LCD has a maximum reading of 3,999 and has a hold function. The tester is powered by two AAA batteries and has an auto-off function that turns the unit off after 10 minutes of idle time. The ACD-20SW is designed for use on electrical wiring and HVAC systems by electricians and electrical contractors. Specifications
H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Electrical test meters report electrical circuit properties, such as voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or benchtop models, they detect electrical problems in equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, or leads connect the meter to a circuit or device. Single-function meters, such as battery testers and voltage testers, measure one property of a circuit; multimeters measure multiple properties. Electrical test meters display information either in analog form using a needle that moves on a calibrated scale, or in digital form using digits or a graphic representation on an LED screen. Meter choice includes the electrical properties to be measured and the anticipated range of results, and should have a rating that is higher than the maximum value of the anticipated range. An electrical test meter has multiple settings that correspond to potential ranges of values for the properties it can measure. A manual ranging meter requires the operator to flip through different settings until the correct range is reached. An autoranging meter cycles through range settings automatically until it reaches the correct range. Amprobe manufactures electrical testing equipment for commercial, industrial, and home use. The company was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Everett, WA. What’s in the Box?
