REED Instruments ST-118 Pocket Multimeter with Non-Contact Voltage Detector and Flashlight, 3-in-1

The REED ST-118 is a combination digital multimeter and non-contact voltage detector that also features a built-in flashlight. Practical and economical, the compact ST-118 measures AC and DC voltage and current, and resistance as well as it detects, without contact, live-not live voltage on electrical circuits found in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

This average-sensing , or average-responding, meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear loads, such as standard induction motors and incandescent lights, where the current or voltage has an undistorted waveform. It is an auto-ranging meter that automatically selects the appropriate operating range for the property being measured. The LCD has a 2,000-count resolution, meaning it can display up to 1,999 units (3-1/2 digits) before the operating range needs to be changed. It meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standard 61010 and is certified for Category III installations up to 1,000V, which covers items used with enclosed building circuit installations (such as service panel parts, branch circuits, and fixed installations that are connected directly to a building's AC power supply).
