The Hanna Instruments HI 7609829-11 chloride ISE sensor with O-ring is a combination solid-state sensor for detecting free chloride ions in fresh-water samples. This ISE (ion selective electrode) sensor is designed for use with the HI 9829 or HI 98290 GPS multiparameter meter and a compatible digital probe in environmental monitoring. It is useful for measuring surface-water contaminants, such as tracing the source of roadway runoff or studying naturally occurring chloride levels in natural waters. The sensor is field replaceable and easy to attach, with color-coded screw-type connectors. It has a double-junction connector and a solid gel-filled reference electrode to increase resistance. This sensor is used in place of the pH sensor in the probe. The pH/mV reading is also displayed, which can be compared for troubleshooting. HI 7609829-11 sensor measurements are International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 7027 compliant.
