The Standard Gage 01664001 Magnetic Stand has a fixed post and boom arm with a fixing bore diameter of 8 to 9.6 mm for holding dial gauges and comparators, and a magnetic base that adheres to flat, metal surfaces with approximately 450 N of holding force and has a V-groove for mounting to cylindrical surfaces. The boom arm can be positioned along the post and its gauge-holding clamp can be positioned along the arm. A switch allows the magnetic force to be turned on and off to aid positioning.
