The Ohaus metric, stainless steel precision calibration weight meets American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Class 4 specifications, and is designed for use as a reference standard for calibrating other weights, or electronic balances and scales. The weight is constructed of stainless steel for stability, resistance to corrosion, and low magnetic susceptibility. A tapered neck enables the weight to be lifted with tweezers, reducing the risk of contaminants adhering to the weight. The weight meets ASTM E617, Class 4 specification for use as a reference standard for calibrating semi-analytic balances, and for student use. An optional National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) certificate ensures precision and traceability. The National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) accredits laboratories for compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 on the basis of their ability to meet the technical requirements set forth in NIST Handbook 150-2, and can provide accreditation to ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994. NVLAP calibrations and certifications meet all ISO, FDA, GMP, GLP, DOD, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 and Nuclear requirements and are traceable to NIST. Procedures and processes used to generate this multi-page certificate, as well as its format and content, are prescribed by NVLAP. The document contains customer name & address, date of calibration, equipment and standards used in the calibration, accuracy class, true mass value (mass in a vacuum), “As Found†mass correction (for recalibration), “As Left†mass correction, uncertainty of measurement process (uncertainty to tolerance ratios are guaranteed), environmental conditions during test, construction and density of the weight, calibration procedure, and a statement of traceability to NIST. Mutual recognition arrangements include The International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), The Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) and The National Cooperation for Laboratory Accreditation (NACLA). The Rice Lake metric, stainless steel test weight set meets National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Class F specifications, and is designed for calibrating other weights, or electronic balances and scales. The weight set is constructed of stainless steel for stability, resistance to corrosion, and low magnetic susceptibility. The weight meets NIST Class F specifications for commercial "Legal-for-Trade" weighing operations often required by state and local weights and measures officials, device installers and service technicians. Class F weights can be used to test the accuracy of most Class III scales, all scales of Class III L or IIII, and scales not marked with a class designation. NIST Class F weights are manufactured to specifications of NIST HB-105-1. The set of 20 weights includes two each 20g, 2g, 200mg, 20mg, and 2mg weights, and one each 50g, 10g, 5g, 1g, 500mg, 100mg, 50mg, 10mg, 5mg, and 1mg weight, tweezers, and a protective case.Calibration weights are used to measure the weight or mass of an object using a balance or scale, or to calibrate other weights or instruments. Calibration weights can be certified or uncertified. Certified weights meet strict guidelines for accuracy and can usually be recertified. Certified weights are used in labs where a high degree of accuracy and repeatability is required. Uncertified weights are used where a lower degree of accuracy is required, including student laboratories, rough weighting operations, and measuring force. Hooked and slotted weights are often used to measure pressure, torque, and tensile strength, and to demonstrate basic laws of physics. Calibration weights differ from lab weights, which are general purpose weights used to hold an object in place, similar to a paperweight. Science education products incorporate applied math and science principles into classroom projects. Teachers in pre-K, elementary, and secondary classrooms use science education kits and products alongside science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum t...

The Adam Equipment GK weight indicator works with weighing platform that has up to four load cells to perform weighing; check-weighing; percent-weighing; and parts-counting tasks; as well as dynamic weighing for unstable samples (such as animals or in unstable environments. For applications that are more complex; tare weights; unit weights; and sample sizes can be entered manually using the full numeric keypad. Red; yellow; and green LED lights and an optional audible alarm notify the user during check-weighing mode if the load is over; under; or within the preset weight limit. The indicator calculates weight or piece-count totals to streamline multi-step tasks; while the integrated RS-232 port connects to printer or PC for manual or automatic data recording with text in English; French; German or Spanish. The ABS-housed indicator has an automatic external calibration system and weighs in five different units. Using the included bracket and hardware; it can be mounted to wall or propped on table and then titled to adjust the viewing angle for maximum visibility. The large backlit digital screen clearly displays readings; real time clock (RTC); and capacity tracker for visual reference to prevent the balance from being overloaded. The indicator operates using AC power or the built-in rechargeable battery; offering full mobility in the field and when power supply is hard to find; for up to 70 hours. To conserve battery power; the auto off function can be enabled to activate after periods of inactivity. NTEP Certified.
