Mitutoyo 314-262-10 V-Anvil LCD Micrometer, Ratchet Stop, 10-25mm Range, 0.001mm Graduation, +/-0.004mm Accuracy

The Mitutoyo V-Anvil LCD micrometer has a V-anvil for direct outside diameter (OD) measurement of three-flute taps, milling cutters, and reamers, or out-of-roundness from centerless grinding or other machining operations. It also has a digital single-value LCD readout that displays in inch and metric units with resolution to 0.001mm, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data output to transmit results to a computer or external device. The output jack transmits SPC results to a computer through an interface cable (sold separately).

The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurement at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. The spindle is carbide-tipped for wear resistance. The micrometer’s ratchet-stop mechanism helps provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurements. A spindle lock helps provide secure locking of the measurement position. The micrometer includes, and is powered by, a single SR44 silver oxide battery, and comes with a plastic case for storage.

Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.
