The Oakton 35650-10 ORP Testr 10 is a handheld, waterproof and dustproof pocket meter that floats, if dropped in liquid, and features a replaceable double-junction platinum electrode within its reusable tester body. An oxygen reduction potential (ORP) meter is commonly used to measure ORP, chromate reduction, or cyanide oxidization of a substance in dirty water, heavy metals, sulfides, and organic applications. This meter has a double-junction platinum electrode for a long application life with harsh environments and chemicals, and a replaceable electrode module to reuse the same tester body. The meter’s waterproof and dustproof housing has Ingress Protection (IP) 67-rating for protection against solid objects or liquids. Its housing includes a lanyard loop attachment. It is microprocessor-based for fast, stable readings. It has a large, upright LCD screen for ease of viewing, and self-diagnostic error messages for troubleshooting. It has a hold function which freezes readings for recording, calibrate and confirm functions, and an auto shut-off mechanism that turns the meter off after 8.5 minutes of nonuse to extend the life of the batteries.

The 35650-10 tester has Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) and an operating temperature from 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F). ORP range -999 to +1000 mV, resolution 1 mV, accuracy + or - 2.0, calibration offset adjustment + or - 150 mV to bring ORP tester into agreement with work standards. Its dimensions are 6.0 (h) x 1.5 (w) inches (15.24 x 3.81 cm), and it weighs 3.25 ounces. The tester works with four 1.5 V alkaline batteries (not included) for up to 500 hours of continuous use (Eveready A76 or LR44 equivalent replacements).

ORP, also known as redox potential, testers measure the oxidization or reduction capacity of a solution. They are commonly used for water-testing, pulp bleaching, and for biological sample analysis in swimming pools, cooling towers, waste water treatment, and industrial applications.
