The Fowler Full Warranty 52-085-024-0 master inch/metric vernier caliper measures in inches and metric, has a 0.001"/0.02mm graduation, and two-way jaws for measuring the inside diameter (ID) and outside diameter (OD) of holes, and grooves. Long jaws provide access to hard-to-reach areas and improved accuracy over longer measuring ranges. The open-face design allows both vernier scales to be located on one side of the gauge for both inch and metric measurements. A fine-adjustment screw ensures accurate measurements, and a locking screw secures the measurement tightly in place for accurate readings. An extra-long vernier ensures accuracy. Sharp black graduations and wide-spaced microfine graduations on a satin-finished beam allow ease of reading. Raised sliding surfaces prevent wear of graduations for accuracy and long life. Verniers can be adjusted as wear occurs over time, and ground and lapped measuring faces ensure accuracy and wear resistance. Hardened stainless steel construction provides durability and wear resistance. The caliper includes a fitted case. This product has a 1 year warranty offered by Fowler High Precision. Vernier calipers are measuring instruments commonly used for inspection in manufacturing to provide the precise measurements of an object. A pair of jaws attached to a long beam with a marked scale is used to take inside, outside, and step measurements.
