230 Volt Single-Phase Electric Meter, 2-Wire, 50/60Hz

EKM Metering's EKM-23IDS-N is a 50Hz 230 volt energy meter for metering 230V, single-phase 2-wire systems around the world(not in the US). This is a revenue-grade kWh smart submeter. It is ideal for metering any 230v load to the high accuracy required for billing purposes, or for just tracking usage.

This meter uses very powerful industrial grade RS-485 communications. This is the 230 volt version of our EKM-25IDS-N which is a 120/240 volt 3-wire meter (for USA power). RS-485 communications allow you to instantaneously get much more data out of the meter. It will be more reliable and accurate than other forms of meter data, such as pulse output.

You can connect up to 256 of these meters daisy chained together on up to 4000 feet of wire. This string of meters can then be connected to one of our converters for reading the meters with a computer, over the internet or LAN, USB, or Serial Ports. Fully supported by our, remote reading, EKM Dash software.

State-of-the-art, fully solid-state kWh meter with RS-485 and Pulse Output, 800 pulses per kWh pulse output Accurate to within 1%, LCD readout in hundredths of a kWh, to 99999.99 kWh. Compact, very easy to install with simple DIN-rail mounting. Wires pass through 3/8+" diameter tubes in the meter body--Will accept some (but not all) 2AWG insulated wire.

Usage data is stored in the meter even if it loses power for up to 10 years. Most commonly a white neutral and a black or red hot wire, 230V between them. Very voltage tolerant--the meters will tolerate voltages from 160V to 300V. Perfect for for submetering electrical usage in countries outside of the U.S. Meter your solar installation, power generation facility, rental unit, or any other device that uses 50Hz 230 volts.

This meter will return kWh, Reverse kWh, Voltage, Current (Amps), Power (kW), Power Factor (Cos Θ), Maximum Demand.
