The Mahr EGH-1026 general-purpose surface probe is intended for use with the Mahr Pocket Surf series portable surface roughness gauge (sold separately) for most surface analyzing applications. The probe's 90-degree conical diamond stylus has a 5μm (0.0002") radius, which is suitable for use when measuring less-rough surfaces than the 10 micrometer stylus. It measures average roughness (Ra), mean depth (Rz), and maximum depth (Rmax) parameters, and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 4287 and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B46.1 specifications.
