This lightweight instrument indicates the condition of antifriction bearings such as ball, roller, tapered roller, and more. Unit filters out frequencies below 300 MHz and measures the vibration in acceleration mode from 0 to 5 g. Simply hold the specially designed probe up against the bearing housing, press the red test button, and record the reading. The 0 to 5 analog scale is color coded green for good (0 to 1.5 g), yellow for rough (1.5 to 3.5 g), and red for major defects (3.5 to 5.0 g). Designed for use with equipment running from 1800 to 3600 rpm. What's Included: carrying case, one 9 V battery, 4" pencil probe, and clipboard with note pad. Detects faulty bearings in rotating machinery-ideal for preventive maintenance Identifies high-frequency vibrations associated with faulty gears and bearings Detects damage to shafts and bearing housings, reducing repair costs and minimizing downtime
