The Mitutoyo 137 series tubular vernier inside micrometer includes a set of extension rods with anvils for a diversified range of measurement measuring inside dimensions (ID) of cylinders, rings, and parallel surfaces. It has a vernier scale in metric units for taking precise ID measurements to 0.01mm, and a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The micrometer head has a travel of 13mm per revolution that helps provide fine positioning. The solid extension rods help provide durability, and the measuring faces are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. A locking clamp helps hold measurements in place. The micrometer and accessories come with a fitted case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1934 and formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963, which is headquartered in Aurora, IL.

The Brown & Sharpe TESA IMICRO Capa LCD inside micrometer has three-point contacts for self-centering measurement of the inside dimension (ID) of bores, and a digital single-value LCD readout that displays in inch and metric units with resolution to 0.00005†(0.001mm). An electrostatic capacitance linear encoder helps ensure repeatable, precise measurement, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data output to transmit results to a computer or external device through an interface cable (sold separately). The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. An automatic off function helps preserve battery life when the unit is not in use. The electronics housing has an Ingress Protection 54 (IP54) rating, which means that components are resistant to debris and to splashing water from any direction up to a volume of 10 liters per minute. The measuring faces are made of hardened steel and may be uncoated, TiN-coated, or tungsten carbide-tipped for wear resistance, depending on the model. The micrometer includes, and is powered by, a single CR2032 lithium cell battery, and comes with a plastic case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These micrometers are highly useful tools for internal linear measurements such as measuring cylinders, rings, setting calipers, comparing gauges and measuring parallel surfaces. The extension rods are made of steel tubing, light in weight, yet extremely rigid. Rods are approximately 9.5mm diameter to meet the requirements of mechanics who prefer this larger diameter. By removing the hardened and ground anvil ends (end caps) of the micrometer head, the rods may be attached to either or both ends of the micrometer as preferred. Each rod may be individually adjusted for wear by the hardened and ground anvil at the end. Tubular measuring rods are lightweight, yet extremely rigid. Rods are insulated, with the exception of 13mm and 25mm sizes also each rod is marked with length. Movement of screw: 13mm.
