The Megger DCM320-EN Digital Clampmeter has both clampmeter and multimeter functions, measures AC current up to 400A, AC and DC voltage up to 600V, and resistance up to 20 Megaohms. The multimeter has clamp jaws for use in industrial and domestic electrical system installation. The unit has a 3-1/2 digit LCD with a hold function, which can be used to keep the reading on the screen when it is used in a location with limited visibility. The clamp jaw is capable of measuring the current in cables up to 27mm in diameter. AC and DC voltage and resistance are measured with the included red/black test leads. The unit also has a continuity buzzer that is on at less than 20 Ohms and off at greater than 50 Ohms. The DCM320-EN Digital Clampmeter is designed for use by electricians and contractors.

The DCM320-EN is powered by two AAA batteries (with a battery life of 200 hours) and has an automatic cutoff function that turns the unit off after 10 minutes of idle time. The central range knob is suitable for ambidextrous operation. Separate voltage/resistance test leads can be disconnected when not in use. The unit is designed to withstand a 1.2m (4 foot) drop without damage and comes with a carrying case.

Electrical test meters report electrical circuit properties, such as voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or benchtop form, they detect electrical problems in equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, and leads can be used to connect the meter to a circuit or device. Single-function meters, such as battery testers and voltage testers, measure one property of a circuit, and multimeters measure multiple properties. Electrical test meters display information either in analog form using a needle that moves on a calibrated scale, or in digital form using digits or a graphic representation on an LED screen. Meters are chosen by the electrical properties that are to be measured and the anticipated range of results. Choose a meter with a rating that is higher than the maximum value of the anticipated range. An electrical test meter has multiple settings corresponding to potential ranges of values for the properties it can measure. A manual ranging meter requires the operator to flip through different settings until the correct range is reached. An autoranging meter cycles through range settings automatically until it reaches the correct range.

Megger manufactures equipment for cable fault locating, protective relay testing, telecommunications and data integrity, and power quality testing under multiple brand names, among them Megger, Biddle, States, and AVO.
