Kyoritsu 4300 Simplified Earth Resistance Tester, 200/2000 Ohms
The Kyoritsu 4300 hand-held tester performs simplified two-pole earth resistance testing for electrical lines, appliances, and equipment grounding and measures AC/DC voltage to reduce power quality issues and avoid safety hazards. For AC voltages, the tester can obtain true RMS values. The maximum measuring current of 2 milliAmp (mA) does not trip ground fault breakers of the circuit under test. For safety, a warning buzzer sounds at 100Ω or less. LED lights warn the user when large earth voltage is detected. The tester also has a live circuit warning when 30V or higher voltage is detected (even when measuring resistance). For ease of use, an LED light illuminates measuring points and automatically turns on or off in relation to ambient brightness. The tester comes with a test lead with alligator clip and flat test probe, CAT II standard prod, CAT III standard prod, an extension prod, and a soft carrying case that holds the instrument and all accessories. Ground-resistance meters are used by electricians and contractors working in industrial, utility, and field servicing. Specifications
H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Ground-resistance meters test the condition of a grounding system, and provide resistivity measurements in ohms. The meters are available in digital, analog, and clamp models. Grounding systems protect people and equipment, and provide a safe path for the dissipation of fault currents, lightning strikes, static discharges, EMI and RFI signals, and interference. Regular testing of a grounding system is important for safety and protection of equipment. For example, corrosive soil with high moisture content can degrade ground rods and connections in existing systems and increase the resistance of the system. Ground-resistance meters are used in conjunction with a variety of testing methods to troubleshoot intermittent electrical problems or as part of a regular maintenance plan. Kyoritsu manufactures electrical testing and measurement instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, and power quality analyzers. The company, founded in 1940, is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
