The Hioki 3151 Earth HiTester performs 3-electrode and 2-electrode ground resistance testing in tough use in field environments. Recommended uses include ground resistance testing of electrical grounding, mesh grounding, electrical power equipment grounding, and when the measurement point location is at a distance from the insertion point of the grounding electrode. Measurement frequency is switchable from normal (3 point) to simple (2 point) to minimize the influence of harmonic earth voltage. The tester can take measurement readings up to 115% of the actual range. For safety, overvoltage and incorrect connections sound an alarm buzzer. Quick reference instructions are included in the inside cover of the meter to assist with meter use and equipment setup for 3-point and 2-point testing. Ground-resistance meters are used by electricians and contractors working in industrial, utility, and field servicing. The Hioki 3151 tester comes with a 1m black measurement cable, 10m yellow cable, 20m red cable, auxiliary rods, three cable winders, and carrying case. The Megger DET4TD2 four-terminal ground resistance tester measures earth ground resistance, soil resistivity, and ground voltage to evaluate the safety and integrity of electrical systems. The tester offers a choice of 2-, 3-, or 4- pole ground resistance testing, and it has a maximum resistance input of 20,000 ohms for testing the resistivity of a range of soil types. The tester's voltmeter displays the ground voltage during use, which helps increase operator safety. The operator can choose between 25V or 50V test voltage output, allowing the tester to be used in agricultural applications. For accurate readings in noisy environments, the tester can filter out ground voltage noise up to 40 volts (V) peak-to-peak. The DET4TD2 comes with one 49' (15 m), two 33' (10 m), and one 10' (3 m) test leads, four ground stakes, and four right-angle terminal adaptors. The tester's liquid crystal display (LCD) provides confirmation of the connection and functionality of the potential and current spikes and indicates the level of ground noise that is present. The DET4TD2 meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standard 61010 and is certified for category IV installations up to 100V, which covers measurements at the source of the low-voltage supply, such as electricity meters and overcurrent protection devices. The tester comes in a hard polypropylene case for transport and storage. The case has an ingress protection rating of IP54, meaning it protects against the ingress of dust and splashing water, making it suitable for outdoor use. The Megger DET14C digital clamp-on ground resistance meter measures ground resistance and current in multi-ground electrical installations and lightning protection systems without needing to disconnect the ground. It has a clamp with two jaws that can close around round cables and rods up to 1.45" (37 mm) in diameter and ground tapes and straps up to 1.96" (50 mm) wide to measure resistance without disconnecting the ground. The meter also provides true RMS (root mean square) measurements of current up to 35 amp to help ensure operator safety during operation. The meter has a user-selectable noise filter to allow measurements to be taken in areas with high amounts of electrical noise. The meter's internal data storage allows multiple results to be compared and tracked over time, and readings are date and time stamped for future reference. An alarm notifies user when user-selected minimum and maximum values for current and resistance are reached or exceeded. The hold function keeps a reading on the display, even after the meter is disconnected. In applications where the conductor is difficult to access, an auto-hold feature allows a reading to be captured without requiring the operator to press the button during measurement. The meter's liquid crystal display (LCD) is backlit to provide readability in low light. The clamp jaws have a smooth surface with no interlocking teeth to help prevent build-up of dirt and residue, which can interfere with measurements. The unit automatically turns off after five minutes of non-use to conserve battery life, and a low-battery indicator signals when the meter's batteries need to be replaced. The Megger DET14C meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standard 61010 and is certified for category IV installations up to 600V, which covers measurements at the source of the low-voltage supply, such as electricity meters and overcurrent protection devices. The meter has a wrist strap and comes with a hard plastic carrying case to protect the meter from damage during...

The Megger 250574 three-piece test lead set includes three test leads and is for use with the Megger 250260 ground resistance tester. One test lead is 12' (3.6 m) long, one is 31' (9.4 m) long, and one is 50' (15 m) long. The test leads are color-coded to help ensure proper connection.A test probe, test lead, test prod, or scope probe transmits an electrical signal to a testing device for display and analysis. Designs range from simple test leads with probe-style or clamp-on tips to more complex oscilloscope probes and current detectors. Some test probes, such as basic test leads, have wires with tips for connecting to test equipment. Other test probes, such as voltage detectors, are built into the meter. Depending on what is to be tested, the probe might either be passive or have active parts that require external power to operate. Some probes require contact for testing, while some are capable of taking measurements from a distance. Some also have finger barriers, insulation, or other features to help protect the operator's hand from electrical shock and burns. Test probes are rated according to the amount of voltage, current, temperature, or other input they can measure. When choosing a test probe, the maximum amount of input that the probe can measure should match or exceed both the maximum amount that can be tested by the test equipment, as well as that of the property expected to be present in the application.Megger manufactures equipment for cable fault locating, protective relay testing, telecommunications and data integrity, and power quality testing under multiple brand names, among them Megger, Biddle, States, and AVO. The company, founded in 1889, is headquartered in Dover, England, and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standards.
