The WIKA stainless steel adjustable throttling snubber has an adjustable needle valve to restrict flow under varying operating conditions, a temperature rating of 14 to 248 degrees F (-10 to 120 degrees C), a male x female connection with either 1/4" or 1/2" NPT rate, and operates under pressures up to 3,400 psi. The stainless steel wetted parts provide corrosion resistance. The adjustable stainless steel needle valve restricts flow under operating conditions with variable pressure. The snubber has a fluoro-elastomer O-ring for a tight seal. It operates under pressures up to 5800 psi, and is effective for applications with pressures above 5 psi. The snubber measures 2.4" (6 cm) high and 1" (2.5 cm) in diameter and has a temperature rating of 14 to 248 degrees F. Pressure gauge snubbers suppress the effects of pressure pulses and pressure peaks to increase the service life of pressure gauges in harsh applications, such as on reciprocating pumps and compressors, hydraulic presses, or fluid power systems, and improve the reading accuracy of the gauge.Pressure gauges are instruments used to measure the pressure of a gas or liquid inside a vessel and, often, to help ensure the optimal amount of pressure for a given application. Pressure gauges can range from everyday instruments, such as those used to measure the air pressure in a car or bicycle tire, to highly accurate gauges used in mechanical and industrial processing. Most often, pressure gauges measure pressure relative to another reference. For instance, gauge pressure measures pressure relative to ambient air. An example of a pressure gauge measuring relative to ambient air is a tire pressure gauge or a blood pressure gauge. Differential pressure is the difference in pressure between two points, such as when measuring liquid flow along various points in a pipeline. An absolute pressure gauge measures pressure relative to a perfect vacuum, such as an atmospheric or barometric pressure gauge. All types of pressure gauges include either a male or a female mount to...
