Thermometers are used to measure temperature for various applications such as education, general purpose QC labs and research lab testing, and for biological process monitoring. Pressure gauges are instruments used to measure the pressure of a gas or liquid inside a vessel and, often, to help ensure the optimal amount of pressure for a given application. Pressure gauges can range from everyday instruments, such as those used to measure the air pressure in a car or bicycle tire, to highly accurate gauges used in mechanical and industrial processing. Most often, pressure gauges measure pressure relative to another reference. For instance, gauge pressure measures pressure relative to ambient air. An example of a pressure gauge measuring relative to ambient air is a tire pressure gauge or a blood pressure gauge. Differential pressure is the difference in pressure between two points, such as when measuring liquid flow along various points in a pipeline. An absolute pressure gauge measures pressure relative to a perfect vacuum, such as an atmospheric or barometric pressure gauge. All types of pressure gauges include either a male or a female mount to connect to the vessel where pressure is being measured, and display results on a dial with varying increments of measure across a given range.

The Dwyer Series 478A digital manometer provides positive, negative, and differential pressure measurements, and is used to perform single-pressure measurements and to set supply pressures, verify pressure switch operation, adjust regulators, check pneumatic systems, and computer peripherals. The meter is suitable for use with air and compatible gases, and has an accuracy of + or - 1.5% of full scale. The extruded aluminum case provides durability. The four-digit LCD displays the pressure measurement. The zero function nulls minor pressure differences before measuring, min/max display provides comparative data, and display hold retains last reading when the display cannot be seen during testing. They are used in laboratory, medical equipment, engineering, automotive, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning applications. Manometers measure any combination of gauge, absolute, or differential pressures. Gauge pressure is the amount of pressure in a system relative to the ambient pressure, absolute pressure is the amount of pressure in a system relative to an absolute vacuum, and differential pressure is the difference between two pressures. Analog manometers are composed of columns of liquid, and they use gravity and the liquid's density to calculate pressure. Because they have no moving part...

The Winters PEM series pressure gauge with brass wetted parts has a circular dial enclosed in a steel case and a male connection, and measures pressure with a dual scale (psi/kPa)/(Hg. vacuum/kPa) with an accuracy of + or - 3/2/3%. The brass wetted parts are for measuring non-corrosive liquid and gas pressure. The black-painted steel case is Ingress Protection certified IP52 for protection against dust or liquids. The circular dial comes in 1.5" (40 mm), 2" (50 mm), 2.5" (63 mm), and 4" (100 mm) diameters. The dial has an aluminum black pointer. The lens for the 1.5", 2", and 2.5"diameter dials is polycarbonate for high impact resistance. The lens for the 4" diameter dial is glass for strength and clarity. The gauge measures pressure with a dual scale of either psi/kPa or Hg. vacuum/kPa. The gauge is accurate to + or - 3/2/3% over the entire range of the gauge, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B40.100 Grade B accuracy class. The male connection is mounted on the bottom or center back of the gauge and has either a 1/4" NPT (National Pipe Thread) or 1/2" NPT rate. The bourdon tube is phosphor bronze, the movement is brass, and the welding is silver alloy. The over-pressure limit is 25% of full scale value. The working pressure is a maximum of 75% of full scale value. The operating temperature is -40 to 150 degrees F (-40 to 65 degrees C). This pressure gauge is suitable for plumbing, heating, air conditioning, pneumatic, hydraulic, water tanks, and air compressors.Pressure gauges are instruments used to measure the pressure of a gas or liquid inside a vessel and, often, to help ensure the optimal amount of pressure for a given application. Use Series 1227 as a regular U-tube manometer to read high-range pressure on the right leg, or as an inclined manometer to read low-range pressure on the bottom leg. Simply incline manometer until fluid levels read zero. No spirit level required. Magnetic clips hold the gage in position on a steel duct surface. Most versatile and useful low cost manometer we know of. Designed for installation and servicemen. A sturdy, clear plastic manometer, it offers single, direct readings in two ranges: As a U-tube, it reads from 0 to 16" of water; as an inclined gage, it reads from -.20 to 0 to 2.6" of water. Model 1227M (Metric) is 0 to 400 mm water column as a U-tube and -5 to 0 to 70 mm water column as an inclined gage. "How-to-use" instructions are printed directly on the scale.

SureGrip fused test probe and test lead set with built-in replaceable fuses for additional measurement protection. If the probe fuse does blow, these fused test probes will still allow the meter to indicate live voltage, helping to prevent a possible misreading of no voltage present. These modular probes ship with the Fluke TL224 silicone test leads. Rated to CAT III 1000 V, these probes have removable tip guards for reduced probe tip exposure. Built in fuses for additional measurement protection, 1000 V, 11 A with 20 kA interrupt rating. Fluke fuse part number 803293. 2mm threaded probe tips include removable 4 mm spring contacts and removable insulated caps for probing closely spaced leads. TL224 leads are right angle connector on one end and straight connector on the other with reinforced strain reliefs, 1.5 meter silicone - insulated wire resists heat and cold. -20 to 50 degree C operating temperature. CAT III 1000 V, CAT IV 600 V, 10 A rating. One year warranty. Voltage readings with blown fuse are approximate and vary with the meter impedance. Before and after each measurement, verify presence of blown fuse by checking continuity of the fused test probe. Current mode is non-functional with blown fuse.
