The Fowler 52-244-201-1 outside micrometer has a digit display with a secondary Vernier scale, a 0 to 1" measuring range, and a ball anvil and flat spindle pair for measuring the inside diameter of sleeves, collars, tubing, and other curved and cylindrical surfaces. The ball anvil contacts the inside curve at a single point, providing accurate measurements. The digit display has a 0.001" resolution and the secondary Vernier-scale has 0.0001" graduations for precise readings. An overall accuracy of 0.00016" provides accurate measurements. The flat spindle has a hardened and ground carbide measuring face to provide wear resistance. The hardened, ground, and lapped spindle thread provides smooth movement, accuracy, and long life. The positive locking nut on the spindle locks measurements in place for accurate readings and the zero adjustment on the sleeve ensures accurate measurements. The ratchet-stop thimble can be used independently of the friction thimble. It provides an audible sound and stops the spindle from turning when the spindle comes into contact with the workpiece, providing constant force for consistent measurements between operators. The baked-enamel frame is heat-insulated to provide durability, long life, and resistance to temperature-related expansion and contraction. The micrometer includes a wrench and a fitted case. SpecificationsDisplay type Digit with Vernier scale Anvil/spindle style Ball anvil with flat spindle Measuring range 0 to 1" Graduation interval 0.001" on digit counter, 0.0001" on Vernier scale Accuracy 0.00016" Thimble style Ratchet stop Anvil/spindle diameter 0.256"Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micromet...

The Fowler 54-565-233 High-Accuracy Ultima Bore Gauging System has a measurement range of 7.878 to 8.27" and is accurate to + or - 0.00006". Resolution is 0.00001" and the measuring depth is 3.15". The gauge has constant spring pressure for repeatability and Bower's FastFit measuring heads for rapid measurement. It uses a three-point contact system for the detection of lobing or triangular form error, and ceramic contact points provide high durability and stability with regard to thermal expansion. The Ultima system requires connection to a Sylvac or multiplexer display unit. This product has 1 year warranty offered by Fowler High Precision. The Fowler Absolute Economy digital caliper has a resolution of 0.0005"/0.01mm, a hardened stainless steel frame, and an LCD showing inch or metric units. The digital, single-value readout LCD shows either inch or metric units for versatility when measuring. It has a zero setting for taking intermediate or differential measurements and direct metric/inch conversion. The knurled lock screw holds the sliding jaw in position when needed. A thumbroll allows fine adjustment for accurate repeatable measurements. The hardened stainless steel frame offers corrosion resistance and long life. This caliper is used for measuring inside dimensions (ID), outside dimensions (OD), depth, and step. It is supplied with a fitted case. This product has a 1 year warranty offered by Fowler High Precision. If you experience any problem contact Fowler directly for warranty claims.Digital calipers are measuring instruments commonly used for inspection in manufacturing to provide the precise measurements of an object. A pair of jaws attached to a long beam with a marked scale is used to take inside, outside, and step measurements. An additional depth probe slides along the beam to take depth measurements. One jaw is fixed to the end of the scale, while the other jaw slides along it with gearless precision to take measurements. The reading is electronically generated and displayed on a digital, high-resolution screen as a single value. Digital calipers can take differential measurements that are used to determine the difference in measurements between two objects, by zeroing the display at any point along the scale. Some digital calipers can switch between standard and metric units, and some can output readings to a computer or printer for recording measurements. Compared to dial calipers, digital calipers provide measurements that are faster, easier, and more error-free, and some do resist coolant well. Vernier or electronic calipers are more durable than digital calipers because they do not have internal moving parts, but they can be mor...

The Fowler 54-422-444 Xtra-Value Digi-Level is a digital level for determining the degree of incline at any angle through 360° (4 x 90°) with a resolution of 0.05° and an accuracy of + or - 0.2° for precise readings, and features a zero function that can be set to read absolute zero for determining horizontal plane. The zero function can also be set at any angle to measure the relative angle between two surfaces. The level has an LCD and a hold function for freezing readings on the display. It is housed in aluminum for light weight and corrosion resistance. It operates on a single 9V battery (included), weighs 1.1 lb., and measures 3 x 4 x 1 inches (H x W x D, where H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back). Levels are used in the building trades, engineering, surveying, and metalworking, among other applications. Levels are instruments that are used to determine the true horizontal or vertical plane of a surface. The most common type of level is the spirit level, or bubble level. Spirit levels have a liquid-filled, bowed tube (also called a vial) with a bubble that moves when slight adjustments are made to the level. When the bubble settles between marked points on the vial, it indicates that a surface is horizontally or vertically straight. Levels can have one or more vials to determine the horizontal plane, the vertical plane, or various points between, such as a 45-degree angle, simultaneously. Some levels include a laser line indicator that projects a horizontal or vertical beam on a surface. Bullseye levels, or surface levels, are circular, flat-bottomed spirit levels that determine whether a surface plane is level. Machinists’ levels are made of metal and have surfaces designed specifically for rugged use in a machine shop or tool room. Levels can range from highly-complex and accurate machines, such as those used in the surveying and construction in...
