The Megger four-piece sensing cable kit includes a 1.6' (0.5 m) current cable, connection plate, voltage sensing cable, and ground cable for use with the Megger MOM2 microhmmeter or other compatible low-resistance ohmmeters. The kit is used for taking four-wire resistance measurements, which are more accurate than two-wire resistance measurements and allow low resistance values to be detected.A test probe, test lead, test prod, or scope probe transmits an electrical signal to a testing device for display and analysis. Designs range from simple test leads with probe-style or clamp-on tips to more complex oscilloscope probes and current detectors. Some test probes, such as basic test leads, have wires with tips for connecting to test equipment. Other test probes, such as voltage detectors, are built into the meter. Depending on what is to be tested, the probe might either be passive or have active parts that require external power to operate. Some probes require contact for testing, while some are capable of taking measurements from a distance. Some also have finger barriers, insulation, or other features to help protect the operator's hand from electrical shock and burns. Test probes are rated according to the amount of voltage, current, temperature, or other input they can measure. When choosing a test probe, the maximum amount of input that the probe can measure should match or exceed both the maximum amount that can be tested by the test equipment, as well as that of the property expected to be present in the application.Megger manufactures equipment for cable fault locating, protective relay testing, telecommunications and data integrity, and power quality testing under multiple brand names, among them Megger, Biddle, States, and AVO. The AEMC 1045 digital megohmmeter is an auto-ranging insulation tester with a voltage safety check and three test voltages—250, 500, and 1,000V—for measuring insulation resistance to 2,000MΩ to indicate the condition of windings or cables in motors, switchgears, electrical installations, and other insulated equipment, and it also measures low-resistance to 400kΩ and AC and DC voltage to 600V, disabling insulation testing when a voltage greater than 25V is detected. The timer mode enables timed insulation resistance measurements, sounding a buzzer at appropriate intervals so the user can calculate the PI (polarization index) and DAR (dielectric absorption rate) which give a truer indication of insulation condition than single-point measurements. High and low thresholds for insulation and resistance measurements can be set, triggering an alarm when readings fall outside the settings, and will be retained even after the meter is powered off. When measurement is complete, the meter enters voltage detection mode and automatically discharges residual voltage from the circuit under test. The meter can perform a continuity check up to 20Ω and buzzes to confirm that a circuit conducts electricity. It has a 4,000-count LCD with a backlight for visibility in low light that automatically turns off after one minute. The display shows readings numerically and on a 34-segment bar graph. This auto-ranging meter automatically selects the appropriate operating range for measurements. It is rated for category (CAT) II installations to 300V, which covers energy-consuming equipment connected to a fixed installation, including household, office, and laboratory appliances. The unit automatically turns off after five minutes of non-use to conserve battery life and has a low-battery indicator that signals when the batteries need to be replaced. It comes with a set of test leads, a set of alligator clips, a test probe, six 1.5V AA batteries, a soft carrying case, and instructions. Megohmmeters are commonly used for ...

The HMP Series has set an 'all new standard' in the 200/400W power range. Units have a set- and read-back resolution of up to 1mV/0,1MA. Even fully loaded, the residual ripple voltage stays below 150µvrms. The outputs, earth-free and electrically insulated, can be synchronized using their current- or voltage-tracking functionality. In case of an over-load of one channel, the 'Fuse Link' feature can synchronously shut down all logically linked outputs. To complete the picture, users can easily set up basic voltage- and current curves using the 'EasyARB' function. For easy integration into 19 inch rack mount systems, all outputs and sense inputs are also available on the rear side of the devices.

The Megger 247000 series digital low-resistance ohmmeter measures resistance in switch and circuit breaker contacts, transformers, generators, motor windings, metal alloys, graphite electrodes and other low-resistance electrical wiring. The meter is autoranging and digital for safety and ease of use. Kelvin-type four-wire measurement of resistance eliminates errors caused by the lead and contact resistances of the meter. Measurements taken by the ohmmeter are accurate to + or – 0.25%. The digital readout has an automatic zero circuit to eliminate field test inaccuracies. The 247000 series is used by electricians and electrical contractors.Electrical test meters report electrical circuit properties, such as voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or benchtop form, they detect electrical problems in equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, and leads can be used to connect the meter to a circuit or device. Single-function meters, such as battery testers and voltage testers, measure one property of a circuit, and multimeters measure multiple properties. Electrical test meters display information either in analog form using a needle that moves on a calibrated scale, or in digital form on an LED screen. Meters have electrical properties that are to be measured and the anticipated range of results, and should have a rating that is higher than the maximum value of the anticipated range. Meters measure electrical properties and are safety rated to measure a specific range of results. The range on the meter should be higher than the maximum anticipated value to be measured. An electrical test meter has multiple settings corresponding to potential ranges of values for the properties it can measure. A manual ranging meter requires the operator to flip through different settings until the correct range is reached. An autoranging meter cycles through range settings automatically until it reaches the correct range. Megger manufactures equipment for cable fault lo...
