It is designed to accept signals directly from a pH electrode and a conductivity probe at the same time. Direct connection of the probes to the transmitter assure a positive electrical connection with no signal loss. This transmitter is ideal for remote process control applications. The output signals are proportional to the input signals but independent of changes in load or cable capacitance. Compensation for the effects of temperature for EC measurements are performed by the transmitters' Automatic Temperature Compensation circuitry. The transmitter can be connected to any pH or conductivity controller, recorder, PC or any data monitoring device that accepts 4-20 mA input. It is an ideal tool for applications that require the monitoring of both pH and conductivity at the same time. 4-20 mA isolated output. 0 to 14 pH and 0 to 10 mS/cm EC range. +/-0.5 percent FS pH and +/-2 percent FS EC accuracy. 2 point, manual pH calibration through offset and slope trimmers and 2 point, manual EC calibration through 0 and 5 mS/cm trimmers. Temperature compensation (EC): automatic, 0 to 60 degree C (32 to 132 degree F) with beta=2 percent/degree C. pH electrode: HI 1001 pH electrode (suggested, not included), HI 1283 matching pin (not included). EC probe: HI 3001 (not included) with cell constant 2.1. Casing: IP 54. Environment: 0 to 50 degree C (32 to 122 degree F); RH maximum 95 percent non-condensing. The Milwaukee SE600 probe is a multi-parameter probe for measuring pH, conductivity, and total dissolved solids (TDS) in water testing applications. This is a replacement probe for the Milwaukee MW801 and MW802 meters (both sold separately). It contains a single-junction silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) reference electrode that is sealed and filled with an electrolyte solution gel for minimal maintenance in general applications. It has a polypropylene body for solvent resistance. It is 16mm in diameter and 98mm long, and has 1m cable with 7-pin Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN)-compliant connector for attaching to meters. An electrode, also called a sensor or probe, is an instrument used with a meter to test and measure parameters of a substance. All electrodes are probes or sensors, but not all probes are electrodes or sensors. Probes, such as temperature probes, are used to penetrate a material for measurement. Common electrode types are pH, total dissolved solid (TDS), oxidation reduction potential (ORP), and ion selective electrode (ISE). They come in standard models or in all-in-one (sometimes called 3-in-1) models, which have a built-in temperature sensor for automatic temperature compensation (ATC). Electrodes can be half-cell or full- (also called combination) cell type. They can be refillable or non-refillable. Housing material is typically glass or epoxy, and sensors are commonly made with stainless steel or a glass bulb. pH electrodes, which measure the pH of a substance, often have a glass bulb. The bulb senses hydrogen ions, and generates a millivoltage that is picked up by the filling solution and transferred to a wire that connects to the pH meter. ORP, also known as redox, electrodes measure dissolved oxygen in aqueous solutions to determine the level of contaminants and their ability to act as oxidizing or reducing agents. Ion selective electrodes (ISEs) respond selectively to ions in the presence of other ions. Electrodes are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in a...

The Hanna Instruments HI 1285-6 is a pH and electro-conductivity (EC) electrode for HI 9813 series portable meters and has a single cloth junction, Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), polypropylene plastic body, spherical tip, internal amplifier, Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) connector, and a seven-pole 2m (6.6') cable. A pH electrode is commonly attached to a pH meter to measure the pH of a substance such as water, food, beer, or wine in lab, industrial, and food applications. An internal thermometer sensor in this electrode provides ATC for accurate readings in fluctuating temperatures. The single cloth junction reduces contamination. The polypropylene plastic body with 8mm spherical tip is for general purpose and field applications. An internal amplifier provides a strong low impedance signal from the electrode to the meter. The electrode has calibration check capability when using the HI 9813 series portable meters. A DIN connector provides a tight cable connection and the electrode comes with seven-pole 2m (6.6') cable. The Hanna Instruments HI 98129 is a multi-parameter tester that measures pH, electro-conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), and temperature, and features automatic temperature compensation (ATC), an LCD screen, automatic shut-off, and a waterproof body that floats in water. The tester automatically compensates for the effects of temperature when taking pH and EC/TDS readings, so additional measurements and manual temperature entries are unnecessary. The HI 98129 meter has a replaceable pH electrode with an extendable cloth junction, and an EC/TDS graphite electrode that is resistant to salts and other corrosives. These features extend the life of the meter by allowing for replacement of the electrodes. Calibration is automatic at one or two points, with two sets of memorized buffer values (pH 4.01/7.01/10.01 or 4.01/6.86/9.18). The EC/TDS conversion factor and temperature compensation coefficient (&Beta) is user-selectable. The tester functions in temperatures of 0.0 to 60.0 degrees C/32.0 to 140.0 degrees F (+ or - 0.5 degrees C/1 degree F), and has a range of pH 0.0 to 14.0 (+ or - 0.05 pH). EC range is 0 to 3999 uS/cm, TDS range is 0 to 2000 ppm (+ or - 2% F.S), with respective resolutions 1 uS/cm and 1 ppm. At 3.5 ounces and 8.3 x 2.7 x 1.3 inches (H x W x D), the HI 98129 is sized for taking measurements in the field. (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists.
