The Mitutoyo 368-916 Holtest three-point micrometer set has TiN-coated points, a measurement range of 0.275-0.5â€, and is precise to 0.0001â€, with + or - 0.0001†of accuracy. Titanium nitride (TiN)-coated measuring contact points offer durability and impact resistance, while contact point geometry allows the instrument to measure to the bottom of a blind hole. The ratchet stop offers constant force for repeatability. Includes inspection certificate ensuring that the exact micrometer purchased has met National Institute of Standards and Technology master standards. This gage set includes three complete display units, two setting rings, extension rod, and a fitted plastic case. Bore gages measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gages are typically calibrated with a setting ring. Bore gages come in two types, one simple, and the other direct-measuring. Simple bore gages are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gages take the measurement directly, and display the measurement through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gages have a two- or three-point contact, which indicates how many points on the gage head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point systems are used to measure lobing, or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gages are used for fast, single-handed operation with good repeatability from one operator to another. Bore gages, regardless of type, can be used in some special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores. The Mitutoyo 145 series vernier inside micrometer has caliper-type jaws and a vernier scale in inch units for making precise inside dimension (ID) measurements. The micrometer is made of high-grade tool steel for durability and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The measuring faces are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.001â€. A locking clamp helps hold measurements in place. The micrometer comes with a fitted case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. This is the jewel of precision micrometers used by skilled workmen worldwide. The spindle and anvil are sized at .235" (6mm) to reach places most micrometers cannot reach. With a choice of smooth friction thimble for uniform pressure or the combination ratchet and speeder for uniform pressure and quicker adjustment. Balanced frame and thimble design insure easy handling and better readability, ring-type knurled lock nut for quick and sure locking and its gracefully designed tapered frame is used in narrow slots and tight places. Its combination ratchet and speeder for uniform pressure and quicker adjustment.

The Mitutoyo 133 series tubular vernier inside micrometer has a vernier scale in metric units for taking precise inside dimension (ID) measurements of the inside of cylinders, rings, and parallel surfaces. The micrometer head sleeve rotates to adjust the zero point to help provide accuracy. A locking clamp helps hold measurements in place. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.01mm, and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The measuring faces are carbide-tipped for wear resistance.
