These are the most popular inside micrometers because of their lightness, ease of use, and range. They are very useful for measuring inside diameters of cylinders and rings, measuring parallel surfaces, etc. The desired range is obtained by assembling rods and spacing collars to the micrometer head. Measuring rods are provided with a shoulder that is set accurately in the micrometer head and locked in position. When assembling rods to the A and B heads, the reading line on the micrometer head should be lined up with the marking on each rod (except for the 50-75mm rods). Rod diameters are approximately 8.5mm. Each rod has individual length adjustment for the anvil by means of special wrenches furnished. Movement of screw: 25mm, number of measuring rods: 4, Number of spacing collars: One 25mm Two 50mm.

Fowler 522750021inside micrometer comes with setting ring, a spanner wrench and a case. It also has full 1 year warranty offered by Fowler High Precision. If you experience any problem contact Fowler directly for warranty claims. Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.

The Mitutoyo 133 series tubular vernier inside micrometer has a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise inside dimension (ID) measurements of the inside dimensions of cylinders, rings, and parallel surfaces. The micrometer head sleeve rotates to adjust the zero point to help provide accuracy. A locking clamp helps hold measurements in place. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.001â€, and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The measuring faces are carbide-tipped for wear resistance.
