Smart Cable Keyboard - Starrett 733 - Starrett SmartCable™ makes it fast and easy to connect a measuring tool to a PC. The interface provides the ability to connect through USB keyboard outputs. With the SmartCable keyboard output, no software wedge or other intermediary software is required. The PC “sees†the connection from the SmartCable™ as a keyboard. Simply, open any document on your computer that accepts input, position your cursor, then send the data from the tool. That data will be input at the cursor location.

The Fowler 54-860 series digital outside micrometer has a ball anvil and flat spindle pair, a choice of measuring range, and an LCD with an inch/metric switchable resolution for measuring the inside diameter of sleeves, collars, tubing, and other curved and cylindrical surfaces. The ball anvil contacts the inside curve at a single point, providing accurate measurements. Carbide measuring faces provide wear resistance. A switchable resolution of 0.00005" and 0.001mm, and an accuracy of 0.00016"/0.004mm on 1 to 2" micrometers provide precise readings and accurate measurements. A friction thimble provides smooth and quiet operations, and is suitable for one-handed operation. Friction-style thimbles stop turning when the spindle comes into contact with the workpiece, providing constant force for consistent measurements between operators. The insulated steel housing provides durability and is Ingress Protection (IP) certified IP54 for protection against dust and water. The LCD has a hold feature that saves the reading for recording. The micrometer can be set to take absolute or incremental measurements. Absolute measurements provide the total dimension of the workpiece. Incremental measurements provide a reading that shows the difference between a set standard and workpiece being measured. This type of reading is often used to determine if a workpiece falls within tolerance levels. RS-232 output transfers data to a computer (cable not included). The micrometer requires a Type 357 battery (included), and includes a fitted case. Micrometers 2" and above include a standard. The Starrett 220XRL series Mul-T-Anvil micrometer uses interchangeable anvils to support varied measurement needs, and includes a flat and rod anvil. It has a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise outside diameter (OD) measurements, and a ratchet-stop mechanism for uniform pressure during adjustment. The vernier scale on the thimble and sleeve is graduated to 0.001â€. The micrometer is made of high-grade tool steel with a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The spindle is micro-lapped for accuracy and carbide-tipped for wear resistance. A knurled ring-type lock nut helps provide secure locking of the measurement position.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. The L.S. The Mitutoyo 293 series QuantuMike Coolant Proof LCD micrometer has a digital single-value LCD readout that displays in metric units with resolution to 0.001mm. A ratchet thimble mechanism helps provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurement. It also has a non-rotating spindle that helps provide steady positioning during measurement, and a QuantuMike spindle that feeds at a rate of 2mm per revolution for a higher rate of productivity than a conventional mechanism. It uses the Mitutoyo ABSOLUTE electrostatic capacitance linear encoder to help prevent overspeed errors and help ensure repeatable, precise measurement. The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. Depending on the model, an output jack transmits Statistical Process Control (SPC) data results to a computer or external device through an interface cable (sold separately). The micrometer has an Ingress Protection 65 (IP65) rating, which means that components are resistant to penetration by dust and debris, and resistant to penetration by liquids and coolant up to the force of a low-pressure (to 30 kilonewtons/meter-squared) water jet. The spindle and anvil have flat measuring faces and are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. The micrometer includes, and is powered by, a single SR44 silver oxide battery, and comes with a plastic case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. The Fowler 52-246 series outside micrometer has a digit display with a choice of measuring range, 0.00001" graduations, and a blade-style anvil/spindle pair to measure groove diameters of shafts and workpieces with narrow or recessed features. The digit display has 0.0001" graduations and an accuracy of 0.0002" on 1" and 2" models for precise readings and accurate measurements. The positive locking lever on the spindle locks measurements in place for accurate readings. A non-rotating spindle keeps workpieces stable during measurements. Hardened, ground, and micro-lapped measuring faces provide wear resistance. The hardened, ground, and lapped spindle thread provides smooth movement, accuracy, and long life.
