The Hanna Instruments HI 8014 is a portable pH and oxygen reduction potential (ORP)/mV meter used in educational settings with manual temperature compensation and manual two-point calibration, a single-line LCD screen, a combination pH and ORP/mV electrode, and an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic housing. A pH meter is commonly used to measure the pH of substance such as water, food, beer, or wine in laboratory, industrial, and food applications. The single-line LCD screen displays the current measurement. This meter has manual temperature compensation and manual two-point calibration through front trimmers with an offset of + or - 1 pH and a slope of 85 to 105 percent. The set calibration values are stored even when the meter is shut off. The meter comes with the HI 1230B polyetherimide (PEI) body combination pH electrode with a Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector, double-gel reference, single ceramic-junction, spheric tip, and 1m (3.3') coaxial cable. The meter also measures ORP/mV when an ORP sensor (not included) is attached in place of the pH electrode. The input impedance is 10 E 12 Ohm. The meter uses a 9V battery (included) for up to 100 hours of continuous operation. The HI 8014 portable meter also comes with a calibration screwdriver and instructions.SpecificationspH range0.00 to 14.00ORP range+ or - 1999mVpH resolution0.01ORP resolution1mVpH accuracy+ or – .01ORP accuracy+ or – 1mVManual temperature range0 to 100 degrees C (32 to 212 degrees F)Operating temperature0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F)Operating relative humidity95 percentDimensions185 x 82 x 53mm/7.3 x 3.2 x 1.1 inches (H x W x D)Meter weight265g/9.3oz.H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. The HI 96802 is a portable, water resistant digital fructose refractometer that employs the measurement of refractive index to determine the percent of fructose in aqueous solutions. The meter helps eliminate the uncertainty associated with mechanical refractometers, and is suitable for field or lab use. Samples are measured after a simple user calibration with deionized or distilled water and within 1.5 seconds the instrument measures the refractive index of the sample and converts it to percent by weight concentration units. The meter features Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) between 10 and 40 degrees C/50 – 104 degrees F, and temperature is displayed (in C and F) simultaneously with the measurement on a dual-level LCD display along with icons for low power and other message codes. Auto-shut off feature turns the meter off automatically after three minutes of non use. Range is 0 to 85%; 0 to 80 degrees C (32 to 176 degrees F) + or – 0.2%; 0.3 degrees C (0.5 degrees F) with a resolution of 0.1%; 0.1 degrees C (0.1 degrees F). The device operates on a 9V battery. Dimensions are 19.2 x 10.2 x 6.7 cm, and weighs 420 g. Fructose Refractometers utilize the measurement of the refractive index to determine the percent of fructose in a substance. They are used by researchers, manufacturers, and individuals. Hanna Instruments manufactures analytical instrumentation and supplies, including pH meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. The company, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 standards. What’s in the Box?
