The Megger DET4TC2 four-terminal ground resistance tester with clamps measures earth ground resistance, soil resistivity, and ground voltage to evaluate the safety and integrity of electrical systems. The tester offers a choice of 2-, 3-, or 4- pole ground resistance testing. It can take measurements using the attached rod technique (ART), which tests on-site grounds without requiring the utility connection to be disconnected. It comes with a current clamp for measuring conductor current and electrode resistance and a voltage clamp for stakeless ground measurements, and when used with ART capability, the clamps can be used for taking fall of potential measurements. The clamps have two jaws that can accommodate a conductor up to 2.1" (52 mm) in diameter. The tester has a maximum resistance input of 200,000 ohms for testing the resistivity of a range of soil types. The tester's voltmeter displays the ground voltage during use, which helps increase operator safety. The operator can choose between 25V or 50V test voltage output, allowing the tester to be used in agricultural applications. For accurate readings in noisy environments, the tester can filter out ground voltage noise up to 40 volts (V) peak-to-peak. The DET4TC2 comes with one 49' (15 m), two 33' (10 m), and one 10' (3 m) test leads, four ground stakes, four right-angle terminal adaptors, a field calibrator for measurement accuracy, and one voltage and one potential clamp. The tester's liquid crystal display (LCD) is backlit for readability in low light. The DET4TC2 meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standard 61010 and is certified for category IV installations up to 100V, which covers measurements at the source of the low-voltage supply, such as electricity meters and overcurrent protection devices. The tester comes in a hard polypropylene case for transport and storage. The case has an ingress protection rating of IP54, meaning it protects against the ingress of dust and splashing water, making it suitable for outdoor use. The DE...

The Amprobe DCG-1000A clamp ground resistance tester is a ground resistance tester that measures ground resistance, current, and continuity in multi-grounded electrical systems. This true RMS (root mean square) meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear or non-linear loads where the current or voltage has a sinusoidal or nonsinusoidal waveform. The clamp-on head enables the user to measure resistance on a ground rod in a multi-ground system without the use of auxiliary ground rods and without disconnecting the other grounds. The unit does not require any additional electrodes or test leads. The tester measures ground resistance from 0.025 to 1,500 ohms and AC current up to 10A. It is safety rated to European Standard 61010-2-32 Category III 300V and Category II 600V. The four-digit LCD screen indicates values up to 9999. The unit is powered by one 9V batter (installed), which provides power for 3,000 measurements. The DCG-1000A is designed for use by electricians and electrical contractors. The Megger 250575 three-piece test lead set includes three test leads and is for use with the Megger 250302 ground resistance tester. The test leads are color-coded to help ensure proper connection.A test probe, test lead, test prod, or scope probe transmits an electrical signal to a testing device for display and analysis. Designs range from simple test leads with probe-style or clamp-on tips to more complex oscilloscope probes and current detectors. Some test probes, such as basic test leads, have wires with tips for connecting to test equipment. Other test probes, such as voltage detectors, are built into the meter. Depending on what is to be tested, the probe might either be passive or have active parts that require external power to operate. Some probes require contact for testing, while some are capable of taking measurements from a distance. Some also have finger barriers, insulation, or other features to help protect the operator's hand from electrical shock and burns. Test probes are rated according to the amount of voltage, current, temperature, or other input they can measure. When choosing a test probe, the maximum amount of input that the probe can measure should match or exceed both the maximum amount that can be tested by the test equipment, as well as that of the property expected to be present in the application.Megger manufactures equipment for cable fault locating, protective relay testing, telecommunications and data integrity, and power quality testing under multiple brand names, among them Megger, Biddle, States, and AVO.
