The Mitutoyo 368 series Holtest vernier inside micrometer has three-point contacts for self-centering measurement of the inside dimension (ID) of bores, and a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise ID measurements. It also has a ratchet-stop mechanism that helps provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurements. The micrometer is made of high-grade tool steel for durability and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.0001†or 0.0002†depending on the model. The measuring faces are carbide-tipped or TiN-coated for wear resistance depending on the model. The micrometer comes with a fitted case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1934 and formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963, which is headquartered in Aurora, IL.

These gauges directly measure the diameter of chamfered holes. No setting master is necessary. When the three-blade plunger is pressed against a flat surface, the gauge should read the set number stamped on the back of the indicator. In case of wear, the gauge may be adjusted to read the proper number.

The Fowler Inch Series XT Holemike Bore Gauge has a ratchet stop for consistent measuring and non-removable anvils. This direct-measuring gauge uses a three-point contact system and tungsten carbide contact points above 0.5". Setting rings are included. Each gauge is individually serialized.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores. The Fred V. Fowler Company manufactures inspection and measurement instruments such as electronic indicators, calipers, bore gages, and digital scales. The company, founded in 1946, is headquartered in Newton, MA.

Starrett Countersink Gauges are offered in three different angles so that the gauge sets on the angular side of the countersink, as opposed to a chamfer gauge which sets on the top edge of the chamfer. This gauge directly reads the large diameter of the countersink in 0.002" or 0.05 mm increments. A set master ring is furnished with each gauge for calibration and setting. Press the button on top of the indicator to firmly depress the gauge head into the countersink. When the gauge is removed, the indicator reading is held in place until the reset button is activated.

The Mitutoyo 139 series tubular vernier inside micrometer includes a set of extension pipes with anvils for a diversified range of measurement measuring inside dimensions (ID) of cylinders, rings, and parallel surfaces. It has a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise ID measurements to 0.001â€, and a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The micrometer head has a travel of 1†per revolution that helps provide quick positioning. The hollow, tubular extension pipes help provide light weight with rigidity. A locking clamp helps hold measurements in place. The Mitutoyo 511-931 Dial Bore Gauge has a measurement range of 0.7 to 6" and is accurate to + or - 0.0008". It is precise to 0.0005". This direct-measuring gauge uses a two-point contact system to detect geometry problems such as ovality and taper, and carbide-tipped contact points provide extended wear and improved abrasion resistance. The Mitutoyo 337 series Digimatic tubular LCD inside micrometer includes a set of solid extension rods to help provide durability when measuring inside dimensions of cylinders, rings, and parallel surfaces. It has a single-value LCD readout that displays in inch and metric units with resolution to 0.00005†(0.001mm), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data output to transmit results to a computer or external device. The output jack transmits SPC results to a computer through an interface cable (sold separately). The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. The electronics housing has an Ingress Protection 65 (IP65) rating, which means that components are resistant to penetration by dust and debris, and resistant to penetration by liquids and coolant up to the force of a low-pressure (to 30 kilonewtons/meter-squared) water jet. The measuring faces are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. The micrometer includes, and is powered by, a single SR44 silver oxide battery, and comes with a wooden case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances.
