The Mitutoyo 511-444 Dial Bore Gauge for Blind Holes has a measurement range of 2 to 6" and is accurate to + or - 0.0002". It is precise to 0.0001" and can measure internal diameters at positions close to the bottom of blind holes. This direct-measuring gauge uses a two-point contact system to detect geometry problems such as ovality and taper, and carbide-tipped contact points provide extended wear and improved abrasion resistance. A rugged cover protects the dial indicator.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and related systems. The company, founded in Tokyo in 1934, formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963 with headquarters in Aurora, IL.

The Mitutoyo 526-104 Dial Bore Gauge for Extra Small Holes has a measurement range of 0.4 to 0.7" and is accurate to + or - 0.00016". It uses a split ball design to measure the inside diameter of holes and identify out-of-roundness problems with stainless steel contact points for high wear resistance. The gauge stem diameter is 0.375" and the probe depth is 2.4". This gauge is for use with Mitutoyo dial indicators (sold separately).Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. The Mitutoyo 139 series tubular vernier inside micrometer includes a set of extension pipes with anvils for a diversified range of measurement when measuring inside dimensions of cylinders, rings, and parallel surfaces. It has a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise inside dimension (ID) measurements to 0.01mm, and a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The micrometer head has a travel of 25mm per revolution that helps provide quick positioning. The hollow, tubular extension pipes help provide light weight with rigidity. A locking clamp helps hold measurements in place. The micrometer and accessories come with a fitted case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems.
