All Mitutoyo gage blocks meet or exceed all known specifications. The flatness and parallelism surface finish necessary to achieve the required accuracies are the same as or better than government requirements. A certificate of inspection is furnished with all Mitutoyo gage blocks with a serial number on the case and an identification number on each block. The deviation of each block is registered. For this inspection, each gage block is measured relative to the upper level master using a gage block comparator. Grade K gage blocks are manufactured by absolute measurement using an interferometer. The gage block set and discrete gage block are supplied with a certificate of calibration. The certificate of calibration specifies the deviation from the nominal length. (Comparative measurement, however, is performed for all square gage blocks.). A certificate of accuracy, traceable to the NIST, is furnished with each Mitutoyo gage block set and individual block.

The Mitutoyo 516-series Grade 0 Carbide Rectangular Inch Wear Gage Block Set includes a set of rectangular-shaped, tungsten carbide wear gage blocks with nominal length engraved in inches on each, and is supplied with a Mitutoyo inspection certificate that states that the blocks meet American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B89.1.9-2002 grade 0 standard for flatness, length, parallelism, and surface finish. The inspection certificate specifies the deviation of each individual block from its nominal length. Gage blocks are commonly used to calibrate fixtures and precision instruments in workshop, inspection, and dimensional metrology applications, to inspect tools such as mounting tools, cutters, fixtures, and mechanical parts, and in the gage manufacturing process itself.Wear gage blocks are wrung with frequently used gage blocks to prevent wear. Grade 0 gage blocks are commonly used in workshop and inspection applications to calibrate and inspect mechanical parts and tools, to verify the accuracy of plug and snap gages, and to set electronic measuring devices. Tungsten carbide is harder than steel and ceramic for greater resistance to wear, and more resistant to thermal expansion for accuracy. Rectangular-shaped blocks provide accurate wringing. The nominal length of each block is measured in inches, and is indicated with laser-etched, black characters. The length of a gage block is usually slightly shorter than its stamped nominal length, to account for the thin layer of oil or wring film used when two or more blocks are wrung together. An identification number is laser-etched on each block for traceability. The set comes with a fitted wooden case for storage. The set includes a Mitutoyo inspection certificate [National Institute of Standards in Engineering (NIST)-traceable] that the blocks meets ASME B89.1.9-2002 standard for flatness, length, parallelism, and surface finish.Gage blocks (also called gauge blocks, Hoke blocks, Jo blocks, slip gages, and Johansson gages) are blocks used to calibrate measur...

This Mitutoyo grade 0 square gage block is made of steel, has its nominal length engraved in inches, and is supplied with a Mitutoyo inspection certificate that states that the block meets American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B89.1.9-2002 grade standard for flatness, length, parallelism, and surface finish. The inspection certificate specifies the deviation of the individual block from its nominal length. This grade 0 gage block is commonly used in workshop and inspection applications to calibrate and inspect mechanical parts and tools, to verify the accuracy of plug and snap gages, and to set electronic measuring devices. It is made of high-carbon, high-chrome steel which has a high hardness for minimum deterioration, and is selected for its wear resistance. This gage block has a square base for accurate wringing, to attain a height reference standard, and for the ability to make a dedicated inspection jig. Nominal length is measured in inches, and indicated with laser-etched, black characters. The length of a gage block is usually slightly shorter than its stamped nominal length, to account for the thin layer of oil or wring film used when two or more blocks are wrung together. An identification number is laser-etched on the block for traceability. The block has a depth of 0.95 inches. It comes in a carrying case with a padded, formed interior. This gage block is supplied with a Mitutoyo inspection certificate [National Institute of Standards in Engineering (NIST)-traceable] that the block meets ASME B89.1.9-2002 standard for flatness, length, parallelism, and surface finish. The Fluke 61 infrared thermometer takes noncontact temperature measurements and is used for monitoring electrical, HVAC, and automotive systems. It measures temperature from -18 to +275 degrees C (0 to 525 degrees F) with an accuracy of + or -2% of the reading or + or - 2 degrees C (+ or -3.5 degrees F), whichever is greater from -1 to +275 degrees C (30 to 525 degrees F) and + or - 3 degrees C (+ or -5 degrees F) outside this range. It has an 8:1 infrared distance-to-spot ratio with laser sighting for pinpointing the measurement area. The backlit display helps eliminate light reflections and improves contrast in low-light conditions. The thermometer enters sleep mode after seven seconds of inactivity to help preserve battery life. The European Conformity (CE) marking indicates compliance with applicable European Union (EU) directives. This thermometer is suitable for measuring the temperature of equipment, systems, and processes in electrical, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), mechanical, and automotive environments.SpecificationsTemperature range-18 to +275 degrees C (0 to 525 degrees F)Infrared sensor accuracyFrom -1 to +275 degrees C (30 to 525 degrees F): + or - 2% of the reading or + or - 2 degrees C (+ or - 3.5 degrees F), whichever is greater; From -18 to -1 degree C (0 to 30 degrees F) + or - 3 degrees C (+ or - 5 degrees F)Display resolution2 degrees C / 5 degrees FDistance-to-spot ratio8:1Power Supply9V or NiCd batteryWeight227g / 0.5lb.Dimensions184 x 45 x 38mm / 7.25 x 1.75 x 1.5 inches (H x W x D)H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Digital infrared thermometers measure the temperature of surfaces from a distance. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Infrared (IR) thermometers work by focusing the infrared radiation emitted by a surface onto a detector called a thermopile.
