The Dwyer Capsuhelic series 4000 differential pressure gauge with an aluminum case has a circular 4" (100 mm) dial, and four female 1/4" NPT rate connections, and measures pressure with single scale in inch water column (WC), mm WC, cm WC, psid, or kPa with a display accuracy of + or - 3 or 4%. The die-cast aluminum case with impregnated hard coating is for measuring air and compatible gases and oil-based liquids. The circular dial is 4" in diameter and measures pressure with a single scale in inch water column (WC), mm WC, cm WC, psid, or kPa. The pressure being measured is held within a capsule in the gauge, which permits the use of the gauge on system pressures of up to 500 psig, even with differentials less than 0.1 in WC. The gauge accuracy is + or - 3% of full scale at 70 degrees F (21.1 degrees C) with + or - 4% of full scale on some models. The pressure limits are -20" Hg. to 500 psig. The temperature limit is 20 to 200 degrees F (-6.67 to 93.3 degrees C). Four female connections with 1/4" NPT (National Pipe Thread) rate provide for vertical mounting of the gauge. The connections are paired with one high and low pressure pair of taps on top for air and gas and one high and low pressure pair on bottom for liquids. This gauge is suitable as a readout device when measuring flowing fluids, pressure drop across filters, liquid levels in storage tanks, and other applications involving pressure, vacuum, or differential pressure. The gauge comes with two 1/4" NPT plugs for duplicate pressure taps, four flush mounting adapters with screws, and four surface mounting screws.Pressure gauges are instruments used to measure the pressure of a gas or liquid inside a vessel and, often, to help ensure the optimal amount of pressure for a given application. Pressure gauges can range from everyday instruments, such as those used to measure the air pressure in a car or bicycle tire, to highly accurate gauges used in mechanical and industrial processing. Most often, pressure gauges measure pressure relative to another referenc...
