The Starrett 82MC1 Head for Dial Bore Gauge has a measurement range of 14.2 to 39.75 mm and gradient spacing of 0.002 mm. This indicator is for use with Starrett 82 probes (sold separately). The dial provides metric measurement readings. This direct-measuring gauge head is useful for controlling approach to tolerance without removing the workpiece from a machine.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores. The L.S. Starrett Company manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology and testing equipment, and saw blade products. The company, founded in 1880, is headquartered in Athol, MA.

The Mitutoyo 511-210 Dial Bore Gauge for Small Holes has a measurement range of 6 to 10 mm and is accurate to + or - 0.005 mm. It is precise to 0.001 mm and the outside diameter of the stem is 8 mm. This direct-measuring gauge uses a two-point contact system to detect geometry problems such as ovality and taper, and carbide-tipped contact points offer extended wear and improved abrasion resistance. A rugged cover protects the dial indicator.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. The Mitutoyo 526-125 Dial Bore Gauge for Extra Small Holes has a measurement range of 10 to 18 mm. It is accurate to + or - 0.004 mm and precise to 0.001 mm. This direct-measuring gauge uses a split ball design to measure the inside diameter of holes and identify out-of-roundness problems with stainless steel contact points for high wear resistance. The gauge stem diameter is 8 mm.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. The 145 series vernier inside micrometer has caliper-type jaws and a vernier scale in metric units for making precise inside dimension (ID) measurements. The micrometer is made of high-grade tool steel for durability and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The measuring faces are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.01mm. A locking clamp helps hold measurements in place. The micrometer comes with a fitted case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. Starrett Countersink Gauges are offered in three different angles so that the gauge sets on the angular side of the countersink, as opposed to a chamfer gauge which sets on the top edge of the chamfer. This gauge directly reads the large diameter of the countersink in 0.002" or 0.05 mm increments. A set master ring is furnished with each gauge for calibration and setting. Press the button on top of the indicator to firmly depress the gauge head into the countersink. When the gauge is removed, the indicator reading is held in place until the reset button is activated.
