The TPI analog megohmmeter is an insulation tester with three test voltages—250, 500, and 1,000V—for measuring insulation resistance to 400MΩ to indicate the condition of windings or cables in motors, switchgears, electrical installations, and other insulated equipment, and it also measures continuity to 20Ω and lights an indicator and sounds a buzzer when a live circuit is detected. When measurement is complete and the test button is released, residual voltage is automatically discharged from the circuit under test. The test button can be locked for extended measurement sessions. The meter is available in a model (B0095XEUFY) with a large scale and a backlight for visibility in low light, and in a model (B0095XEUZY0) without a large scale or backlight. It has a battery voltage check that indicates the condition of the batteries. It is rated for category (CAT) III installations to 300V for model with large scale and backlight and to 600V for model without large scale and backlight, which covers equipment in fixed installations, such as switches in the fixed installation and some industrial equipment that is permanently connected to the fixed installation. It comes with a set of UL listed silicone test leads with alligator clips, a set of 6ft. test leads with large alligator clips, a neck strap, and instructions. Megohmmeters are commonly used for electrical maintenance and testing in industries such as HVAC, transportation, manufacturing, mining, and utilities, among others.SpecificationsMaximum insulation resistance measured400MΩTest voltages250V, 500V, 1,000VMaximum continuity measured20ΩInstallation rating300V for model B0095XEUFY (with large scale and backlight); 600V for model B0095XEUZY (without large scale and backlight)Standards metCE marking, UL listed, RoHS compliantPower(6) 1.5V batteries (sold separately)Megohmmeters, also called insulation testers, are electrical test meters that measure resistance to the flow of current in an electrical component or circuit and check the co...

The Megger 6220 series four-piece duplex test lead set includes two current leads with spring clamps and two potential leads with crocodile clips for use with the with Megger DLRO200 and DLRO600 digital microhmmeters. These current and potential test leads are for taking four-wire resistance measurements, which are more accurate than two-wire resistance measurements and allow low resistance values to be detected. The spring clamps have a 2.4" (60 mm) jaw opening, and the crocodile clips (also known as alligator clips) have a 0.9" (22 mm) jaw opening. Both the spring clamps and crocodile clips provide hands-free connection to a conductor. The leads have a maximum current input of 600 amp.A test probe, test lead, test prod, or scope probe transmits an electrical signal to a testing device for display and analysis. Designs range from simple test leads with probe-style or clamp-on tips to more complex oscilloscope probes and current detectors. Some test probes, such as basic test leads, have wires with tips for connecting to test equipment. Other test probes, such as voltage detectors, are built into the meter. Depending on what is to be tested, the probe might either be passive or have active parts that require external power to operate. Some probes require contact for testing, while some are capable of taking measurements from a distance. Some also have finger barriers, insulation, or other features to help protect the operator's hand from electrical shock and burns. Test probes are rated according to the amount of voltage, current, temperature, or other input they can measure. When choosing a test probe, the maximum amount of input that the probe can measure should match or exceed both the maximum amount that can be tested by the test equipment, as well as that of the property expected to be present in the application.Megger manufactures equipment for cable fault locating, protective relay testing, telecommunications and data integrity, and power quality testing under multiple brand names, among them Megger, Biddl...

The Megger 242002 series duplex test lead with C-clamp is for use with Megger DLRO10HD, DLRO10, DLRO10X, 247000, 247001, 247002, 247100, 247101, and BT51 digital low-resistance ohmmeters. This duplex test lead measures both current and resistance when taking four-wire resistance measurements, which are more accurate than two-wire resistance measurements and allow low resistance values to be detected. The lead has a maximum test current input of 10 amp. The C-clamp provides a hands-free connection to a conductor and can accommodate conductors up to 2" (5 cm). The C-clamp directs the current through the clamp and screw and the potential through a four-point anvil that is insulated from the clamp.A test probe, test lead, test prod, or scope probe transmits an electrical signal to a testing device for display and analysis.
