The Kyoritsu digital megohmmeter is an auto-ranging insulation tester with four test voltages for measuring insulation resistance to 2,000MΩ to indicate the condition of windings or cables in motors, switchgears, electrical installations, and other insulated equipment, and it also measures low-resistance to 400Ω and AC and DC voltage to 600V, lighting a warning indicator and sounding a buzzer when a live circuit is detected. The comparator function allows a reference resistance value to be set, lights a "pass" or "fail" indicator for subsequent readings, and triggers a buzzer when a reading exceeds the reference value. Up to 99 insulation resistance readings can be stored in the unit's internal memory. When measurement is complete and the range selector is switched off, residual voltage is automatically discharged from the circuit under test. The test button can be locked for extended measurement sessions. The meter has an LCD with a backlight for visibility in low light that automatically turns off after 60 seconds. The display shows readings numerically and in a bar graph. Megohmmeters are commonly used for electrical maintenance and testing in industries such as HVAC, transportation, manufacturing, mining, and utilities, among others. This auto-ranging meter automatically selects the appropriate operating range for measurements. It is rated for category (CAT) III installations to 600V, which covers equipment in fixed installations, such as switches in the fixed installation and some industrial equipment that is permanently connected to the fixed installation. It automatically turns off after 15 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life and has a low-battery indicator that signals when the batteries need to be replaced. The Yokogawa MY40-01 digital megohmmeter is an insulation tester with four test voltages—125, 250, 500, and 1,000V—for measuring insulation resistance to 2,000 megohms to indicate the condition of windings or cables in motors, switchgears, electrical installations, and other insulated equipment, and it also measures low-resistance to 400Ω and AC voltage to 600V, lighting a warning indicator and sounding a buzzer when a voltage greater than 40V is detected. The meter sounds a continuity buzzer at less than 40Ω to confirm that the circuit conducts electricity. A comparator function allows a reference value to be set, compares subsequent readings to that value, and triggers a buzzer and lights a "low" indicator when readings fall below the set value. The memory function stores up to 20 readings. To aid documentation of readings, the data hold function keeps the most recent reading on the display for five seconds after the measure switch is turned off. When measurement is complete and the measure switch is turned off, residual voltage is automatically discharged from the circuit under test. The measure switch can be locked for extended measurement sessions. The meter has a 4,000-count LCD that shows readings numerically and in a bar graph, and has a backlight for visibility in low light. It automatically turns off after ten minutes of non-use to conserve battery life and has a low-battery indicator that signals when the batteries need to be replaced. It is rated for category (CAT) III installations to 600V, which covers equipment in fixed installations, such as switches in the fixed installation and some industrial equipment that is permanently connected to the fixed installation. The Amprobe AMC-4 hand cranked insulation tester is an analog meter to measure insulation resistance on wires, cables, transformers, and electrical motors. The unit measures insulation resistance from 0 to 100 Megaohms using a 500V direct current (DC) test voltage and 0 to 500 Megaohms with 1,000V DC test voltage. The test voltage is produced by a hand-cranked constant voltage generator, so the unit never needs batteries. A guard terminal prevents surface leakage from affecting the instrument's readings. The AMC-4 is designed for use by electricians and electrical contractors. Specifications Power supply Hand-cranked constant voltage generator Insulation resistance range with 500V DC test voltage 0 to 100 Megaohms Insulation resistance range with 1,000V DC test voltage 0 to 500 Megaohms Weight (including batteries) 2.5 lb./1.13kg Dimensions 7 x 4 x 3.6 inches/177.8 x 101.6 x 92.1mm (H x W x D)H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Electrical test meters report electrical circuit properties, such as voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or benchtop models, they detect electrical problems in equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, or leads connect the meter to a circuit or device. Single-function meters, such as battery testers and voltage testers, measure one property of a circuit; multimeters measure multiple properties. Electrical test meters display information either in analog form using a needle that moves on a calibrated scale, or in digital form using digits or a graphic representation on an LED screen. Meter choice includes the electrical properties to be measured and the anticipated range of results, and should have a rating that is higher than the maximum value of the anticipated range. An electrical test meter has multiple settings that correspond to potential ranges of values for the propert...

The Megger 242104-2 series duplex test lead with C-clamp is for use with Megger 247100, 247101, DLRO200, and DLRO600 digital low-resistance ohmmeters. This duplex test lead measures both current and resistance when taking four-wire resistance measurements. The lead has a maximum test current input of 100 amp. The C-clamp provides a hands-free connection to a conductor and can accommodate conductors up to 4" (10 cm). The C-clamp directs the current through the clamp and screw and the potential through a four-point anvil that is insulated from the clamp.A test probe, test lead, test prod, or scope probe transmits an electrical signal to a testing device for display and analysis. Designs range from simple test leads with probe-style or clamp-on tips to more complex oscilloscope probes and current detectors. Some test probes, such as basic test leads, have wires with tips for connecting to test equipment. Other test probes, such as voltage detectors, are built into the meter. Depending on what is to be tested, the probe might either be passive or have active parts that require external power to operate. Some probes require contact for testing, while some are capable of taking measurements from a distance. Some also have finger barriers, insulation, or other features to help protect the operator's hand from electrical shock and burns. Test probes are rated according to the amount of voltage, current, temperature, or other input they can measure. When choosing a test probe, the maximum amount of input that the probe can measure should match or exceed both the maximum amount that can be tested by the test equipment, as well as that of the property expected to be present in the application.Megger manufactures equipment for cable fault locating, protective relay testing, telecommunications and data integrity, and power quality testing under multiple brand names, among them Megger, Biddle, States, and AVO.
