The Yokogawa analog megohmmeter is an insulation tester with a single test voltage for measuring insulation resistance to indicate the condition of windings or cables in motors, switchgears, electrical installations, and other insulated equipment, and it also measures AC voltage and lights an LED to indicate that a circuit is live. When measurement is complete and the test button is released, residual voltage is automatically discharged from the circuit under test. The meter has a battery voltage check that indicates the condition of the batteries. It is rated for category (CAT) III installations, which covers equipment in fixed installations, such as switches in the fixed installation and some industrial equipment that is permanently connected to the fixed installation. It comes with a line probe, an earth probe, a display cover, a shoulder strap, four AA batteries, and instructions. Megohmmeters are commonly used for electrical maintenance and testing in industries such as HVAC, transportation, manufacturing, mining, and utilities, among others.SpecificationsAvailable test voltage/insulation resistance ranges125V/20MΩ; 250V/50MΩ; 500V/100MΩ; 500V/1,000MΩ; 1,000V/2,000MΩMaximum AC voltage measured250V for 125V/20MΩ model; 300V for 250V/50MΩ model; 500V for other modelsInstallation categoryCAT IIIStandards metEN safety standards 61010-1:1993 and 61010-2-031:1995; CE markingPower(4) AA batteriesWeight500gDimensions (H x W x D)*103 x 125 x 53mm*H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Megohmmeters, also called insulation testers, are electrical test meters that measure resistance to the flow of current in an electrical component or circuit and check the continuity of an electrical circuit to detect electrical problems such as degraded insulation and improper circuit connections in equipment, wiring, and power supplies. Resistance is an indicator of the overa...

The Megger test cable with Kelvin probe includes one black test cable for use with the Megger MOM2 microhmmeter or other compatible low-resistance ohmmeters. The cable has a Kelvin probe on one end for taking four-wire resistance measurements, which are more accurate than two-wire resistance measurements and allow low resistance values to be detected. The Kelvin probe is held against the device to be tested.A test probe, test lead, test prod, or scope probe transmits an electrical signal to a testing device for display and analysis. Designs range from simple test leads with probe-style or clamp-on tips to more complex oscilloscope probes and current detectors. Some test probes, such as basic test leads, have wires with tips for connecting to test equipment. Other test probes, such as voltage detectors, are built into the meter. Depending on what is to be tested, the probe might either be passive or have active parts that require external power to operate. Some probes require contact for testing, while some are capable of taking measurements from a distance. Some also have finger barriers, insulation, or other features to help protect the operator's hand from electrical shock and burns. Test probes are rated according to the amount of voltage, current, temperature, or other input they can measure. When choosing a test probe, the maximum amount of input that the probe can measure should match or exceed both the maximum amount that can be tested by the test equipment, as well as that of the property expected to be present in the application.Megger manufactures equipment for cable fault locating, protective relay testing, telecommunications and data integrity, and power quality testing under multiple brand names, among them Megger, Biddle, States, and AVO. The company, founded in 1889, is headquartered in Dover, England, and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standards.
