The Brown & Sharpe TESA Tesatast series dial test indicator has a white face, a 0.0787" stem diameter, and inch measurements. The indicator can make either horizontal or vertical measurements, and the choice of white or yellow dial help make measurements easy to read. The yellow face with contrasting black hand complies with ANSI standards for metric dial faces. The carbide, ball-contact tip reaches into the workpiece for accurate measurements of turned, milled, and ground parts, and for tool setting gauges, fixtures, and inspections. The continuous clockwise pointer rotation helps prevent plus or minus confusion and displays reading in fractional inches. The ball-bearing lever system swivels through to 180 degrees. The dial face mounted at the top of the indicator parallel to the axis, and three universal dovetail mounts can be used for mounting from the top, front, or back. Dovetail mounts provide a rigid setup. This indicator has a Monoblock body design with pinions mounted in jeweled bearings in an isolated assembly separate from the outer body, for high accuracy. It is anti-magnetic for safety when used around magnetic workpieces and debris, and has full-metal construction for durability and corrosion resistance. This dial test indicator meets Deutsches Institut fur Normung (DIN) 2270, and Norme Francaise (French Institute for Standardization) NF E 11-053 standards, and includes an identification number and a declaration of conformity. The set includes a dial test indicator, a 0.080" (2mm) ball-end carbide contact point, a 0.310"(8mm) extension with dovetail, a point key, a Certificate of Accuracy and Traceability, and a storage box. Dial readings with three digits, such as 0-10-0, signify that the indicator has a balanced dial. Dial readings with two digits, such as 0-100, indicate that the dial has a continuous dial. Balanced dials are used to read the difference from a specific surface reference point. Continuous dials are used for direct readings and usually have a larger measurement range than balanced ...

The Mitutoyo 543-502B Absolute Solar Digimatic Indicator is an inch and metric digital indicator with LCD for measuring surface variations that has measurement range of 0.5"/12.7mm and a resolution 0.00005"/0.001mm, a flat back, a 3/8" stem diameter, and a solar-powered battery that provides continuous operation at a lighting level of 40 lux and greater. The battery has a reserve capacity of approximately 3.5 hours when fully charged. The indicator's absolute sensor automatically restores the last origin position when the unit is powered on, aiding multipoint measurement. The flat back design allows stem mounting or plate mounting on the rear of the indicator. The indicator is Ingress Protection certified IP42 against solid objects over 1mm and direct sprays of water up to 15 degrees from the vertical. It meets ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards and AGD (American Gage Design) standards for stem diameter. It has an SPC (statistical process control) output by which data may be exported. Indicators are used manufacturing and scientific applications to monitor and measure tolerance. These precision instruments measure small linear distances and object sizes. The dial magnifies the measurement so that it can be easily read by the human eye. Frequently used in manufacturing, laboratories, and other industrial or mechanical fields, dial indicators are used anywhere a small measurement must be found and recorded or transferred, such as checking the variation in tolerance of a workpiece. Standard dial indicators measure the displacement along the axis of the indicator. Dial test indicators are very similar to dial indicators, except that the axis of measurement is perpendicular to the axis of the indi...

The continuous clockwise pointer rotation and a revolution counter prevent plus or minus confusion. The ball-bearing lever system swivels through to 210 degrees. The dial face is mounted at a right angle to the insert's axis for mounting horizontally or vertically from the front or back of the indicator. A dovetail mount on the back of the indicator provides a rigid setup, and a 4mm swiveling shank on the front of the indicator can be mounted at a range of angles.
