The Mitutoyo 209 series Digimatic internal tube thickness caliper gauge has a combination analog/digital LCD display and large measuring depth for taking inside dimension (ID) measurements of hole diameters, thickness of grooves or tubes, and other hard-to-reach internal dimensions. Depending on the model, these units may come with either ball contact points suitable for measuring internal wall thickness of tubes, or disc contact points suitable for measuring flat surfaces. The calipers have an Ingress Protection 67 (IP67) rating, which ensures that components are resistant to debris and to submersion in liquid under standard conditions for up to 30 minutes. At minimum, functions include zero-set, preset, automatic power off, inch/metric, and conversion data hold. An output port transmits results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer for statistical process control (SPC) through an interface cable (sold separately). The unit comes with, and is powered by, a single AA battery that lasts approximately 350 hours with continuous normal use. Calipers measure the distance between two opposing sides of an object. They make inside, outside, depth, or step measurements, according to their type. Calipers are commonly used in architecture, metalworking, mechanical engineering, and machining. The simplest calipers have two legs to mark the two points and require a ruler to take the measurement. More complex calipers use two sets of jaws instead of legs and have up to two graduated scales. Vernier, dial, and digital calipers give direct and accurate readings and are functionally identical, having a calibrated scale with a fixed jaw, and another jaw with a movable pointer that slides along the scale. The vernier caliper has a scale sliding parallel to the main scale for an additional, fractional reading to improve measurement precision. The dial caliper has a circular dial with a pointer on a toothed gear rack replacing the second vernier scale. As with the vernier, this second measurement is added to the reading from the m...

The Fowler Inch Series XT Holemike Bore Gauge has a ratchet stop for consistent measuring and non-removable anvils. This direct-measuring gauge uses a three-point contact system and tungsten carbide contact points above 0.5". Setting rings are included. Each gauge is individually serialized.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores. The Fred V. Fowler Company manufactures inspection and measurement instruments such as electronic indicators, calipers, bore gages, and digital scales. The company, founded in 1946, is headquartered in Newton, MA.

The Mitutoyo 192-008 bi-directional touch probe works with a Mitutoyo Digimatic Series 192 multi-function type height gauge to measure height, steps, and inside and outside diameters in inches, and has a measuring force of 0.4N, a 3mm carbide ball tip, a repeatability of 2μm, and an overtravel of 1.5mm. The carbide ball tip provides hardness and long life. The probe comes with an integrated 150mm cable, and a holder arm and clamp.Height gauges, sometimes referred to as gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units. The vertical position of the gauge and its attached pointer are changed by turning a calibrated screw, or one or more feed wheels. Recorded rotations are read from a scale, a dial, counters, and/or an electronic display. A screw clamp holds the pointer to the gauge. The pointer is typically sharpened to act as a scriber, and can be used to mark a position on a workpiece by scratching its surface. On compatible units, the scriber may be replaced by an electronic touch-signal probe. Height gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and related systems. The company, founded in Tokyo in 1934, formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963 with headquarters in Aurora, IL.What's in the Box?Mitutoyo 192-008 touch probeHolder armClamp

Starrett Countersink Gauges are offered in three different angles so that the gauge sets on the angular side of the countersink, as opposed to a chamfer gauge which sets on the top edge of the chamfer. This gauge directly reads the large diameter of the countersink in 0.002" or 0.05 mm increments. A set master ring is furnished with each gauge for calibration and setting. Press the button on top of the indicator to firmly depress the gauge head into the countersink. When the gauge is removed, the indicator reading is held in place until the reset button is activated.

The Brown & Sharpe TESA measuring head for inside micrometers is an accessory for use with the Brown & Sharpe TESA Alesometer LCD capa micrometer. It has three-point contacts for self-centering measurement of the inside dimension (ID) of bores. The measuring head is made of high-grade tool steel for durability and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The measuring faces are made of hardened steel and may be uncoated or tungsten carbide-tipped for wear resistance, depending on the model.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Brown & Sharpe manufactures precision measuring equipment and metrology hand tools. The company, founded in 1833, played a key role in setting industrial standards in the United States. Brown & Sharpe was acquired by Hexagon Metrology in 2001, and is headquartered in North Kingstown, RI.
