The Phase II Plus PTG-3500 coating thickness gauge can perform two different methods of calculating thickness measurement by utilizing the characteristics of both eddy current and magnetic induction. Testing performance is both non-destructive and extremely accurate. With this state of the art thickness gauge, you can easily detect the thickness of nonmagnetic coating on a magnetic substrate (ferrous) or an insulating coating on a non-magnetic conductive substrate (non-ferrous) utilizing either an integrated probe or our version that comes with 1 auto-detect external probe

Starrett Countersink Gauges are offered in three different angles so that the gauge sets on the angular side of the countersink, as opposed to a chamfer gauge which sets on the top edge of the chamfer. This gauge directly reads the large diameter of the countersink in 0.002" or 0.05 mm increments. A set master ring is furnished with each gauge for calibration and setting. Press the button on top of the indicator to firmly depress the gauge head into the countersink. When the gauge is removed, the indicator reading is held in place until the reset button is activated.

The Mitutoyo 511-406 Dial Bore Gauge for Blind Holes has a measurement range of 0.6 to 1.4" and can measure internal diameters at positions close to the bottom of blind holes. This direct-measuring gauge uses a two-point contact system to detect geometry problems such as ovality and taper, and carbide-tipped contact points provide extended wear and improved abrasion resistance. This gauge is for use with Mitutoyo dial indicators (sold separately).Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and related systems. The Mitutoyo 152 series large micrometer head has a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise measurements and a large-diameter thimble for ease of reading. It has a plain stem for mounting in a fixture with a split-body clamp or setscrew. The vernier scale has bidirectional graduations to 0.001â€, and has a white anodized aluminum rust- and glare-resistant finish. The flat measuring face is carbide-tipped for wear resistance and is lapped to help provide accuracy.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. Micrometer heads are for mounting in fixtures, where they are typically used for measurement, or as stops or feeds.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. The Starrett 84Z-111-7J Dial Bore Gauge has a measurement range of 8 to 12.125" and gradient spacing of 0.0001". Two centralizing plungers provide accurate tool alignment within the bore. This direct-measuring gauge uses a two-point contact system for detection of geometry problems such as ovality and taper. Contact points are made of hardened tool steel contact points for wear resistance and are spring-loaded for sensitivity. The housing and knurled handle are made of aluminum for a lightweight feel and good balance. Dial indicators have jewel bearings for sensitivity and the gauge is furnished in a finished wood case.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. The Mitutoyo 368 series Holtest vernier inside micrometer has three-point contacts for self-centering measurement of the inside dimension (ID) of bores, and a vernier scale in metric units for taking precise ID measurements. It also has a ratchet-stop mechanism that helps provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurements. The micrometer is made of high-grade tool steel for durability and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.001mm or 0.005mm depending on the model. The measuring faces are carbide-tipped or TiN-coated for wear resistance depending on the model.
