The Mitutoyo dial indicator has a white face, one-revolution, a choice of flat or lug, a 0.375" stem diameter, and inch measurements. The indicator has a 0.375" diameter stem, a #4-48 UNF contact point thread mount, and is used to measure surface variations in fractional inches. The choice of black or white dial and a contrasting hand help make measurements easy to read. It has a one-revolution display that shows the entire spindle range in fractional inches to enhance readability. A rotating bezel sets the indicator to zero at any spindle location, and moveable limit markers can be set to indicate tolerance levels. The dial indicator comes with a choice of flat or lug back for a variety of mounting options. Flat back dial indicators are either clamp-mounted on the stem or plate-mounted on the rear of the indicator. Lug back dial indicators have a protrusion with a hole to mount the indicator using a lug or nut and bolt. Lug back dial test indicators usually come with the lug installed horizontally. The back on most indicators can be rotated to the vertical position. It has a stem design that provides a long clamping range, no through screw-holes on the frame for dust- and water resistance, and an involute curved lifting lever that provides smooth movement of spindle and dovetail joint for a tool-less connection. This dial indicator meets ANSI standards, Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) B7503-1997, and American Gage Design (AGD) standards for face and thread size, and bezel and stem diameter. Dial readings with three digits, such as 0-10-0, signify that the indicator has a balanced dial. Dial readings with two digits, such as 0-100, indicate that the dial has a continuous dial. Balanced dials are used to read the difference from a specific surface reference point. Continuous dials are used for direct readings and usually have a larger measurement range than balanced dials. Optional features include jeweled bearings for high sensitivity and accuracy, dustproof, shockproof, and a white face.Dial indicators are al...

The Fowler 54-004-201 Electronic Caliper and EZ-Read Micrometer set includes a 6" digital caliper, an outside micrometer, and a fitted case. The Fowler 54-100-000 digital caliper measures 0 to 6"/0 to 150mm with 0.001"/0.02mm accuracy and 0.0005"/0.01mm resolution, and the Fowler 52-222-201 0-1" EZ-Read Digit Counter micrometer opens from 0 to 1" with 0.0002" accuracy and graduations of 0.0001".The caliper has a hardened stainless steel frame for corrosion resistance and long life. The digital, single-value readout LCD shows inch and metric units for versatility when measuring. It has a zero setting for taking intermediate or differential measurements and direct metric/inch conversion. The knurled lock screw holds the sliding jaw in position and helps ensure a consistent measurement. The hardened stainless steel frame offers corrosion resistance and long life. This caliper is used for measuring inside dimensions (ID), outside dimensions (OD), depth, and step. The outside micrometer has an insulated stainless steel frame for long life, and carbide measuring faces for smooth, accurate reading surfaces. It has a lock screw to hold measurements, and a friction thimble for accuracy. This micrometer is used for measuring outside dimensions.Digital calipers are measuring instruments commonly used for inspection in manufacturing to provide the precise measurements of an object. A pair of jaws attached to a long beam with a marked scale is used to take inside, outside, and step measurements. An additional depth probe slides along the beam to take depth measurements. One jaw is fixed to the end of the scale, while the other jaw slides along it with gearless precision to take measurements. The reading is electronically generated and displayed on a digital, high-resolution screen as a single value. Digital calipers can take differential measurements that are used to determine the difference in measurements between two objects, by zeroing the display at any point along the scale. Some digital calipers can switch between standa...

The Mitutoyo Series 527 Dial Depth Gauges with Fine Adjustment, Caliper Type, Inch, depending on the model, have a measurement range of either 0 to 6" or 0 to 8", a resolution (or smallest graduation interval) of 0.0015", with + or – 0.001" of accuracy. The dial gauge interface provides precise and easily readable measurements. These gauges are made of hardened stainless steel. The bases of the units are 4" long, and the measuring faces are hardened and lapped for durability and accuracy. The gauges have a fine adjustment screw for taking precise measurements. An optional wider extension base is sold separately. Depth gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. Depth gauges are precision measuring instruments used to determine the depth of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. These gauges often take the form of sliders that travel on a measuring beam or rods, are moved to position by hand, and then adjusted with a calibrated screw. The base of the gauge rests at the top of the shape whose recession is to be measured, while the beam or rods extend to the bottom of the recession to determine the measurement. Gauge position is read from a graduated scale, dial, counters, or an electronic display.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and related systems. The company, founded in Tokyo in 1934, formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963 with headquarters in Aurora, IL.

The Fowler 52-252-001 multi-anvil outside micrometer has a digit display with a 0.0001" resolution, a 0 to 1" measuring range, and an interchangeable anvil for measuring tube thickness, shoulder edge distances, rivet heads, and other hard-to-measure workpieces. The flat spindle has a carbide-tipped measuring face for wear resistance and the interchangeable flat and rod-style anvils provide a variety of measuring options. The flat anvil has a thickness of 0.065" and a 1" length. The rod-style anvil has a 0.120" diameter and a 1" length. The locking lever on the spindle locks measurements in place for accurate readings. A friction thimble applies constant force for repeatability between users. Friction-style thimbles are suitable for one-handed operation and stop turning when the spindle comes into contact with the workpiece, providing constant force for consistent measurements between operators. The micrometer includes a flat anvil, rod-style anvil, an Allen key, a wrench and a fitted case. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. The Fred V. The Fowler 52-570-000 back-plunger style universal dial indicator has a 1-1/2" diameter continuous dial, a 0.200" measuring range, and 0.001" graduations, and is designed to measure surface variations in fractions of an inch. The white face has a contrasting hand to make measurements easy to read. The 0-100 continuous dial has a total measuring range of 0.200" with 0.001" graduations. Brass bearings are economical and accurate. Attachments provide a range of mounting options. The set includes a dial indicator, G clamp, tool post base and vertical rod, extension rod, 3/16" standard anvil, 5/16" anvil, thumb clamp, swing arm attachment, and a fitted storage case. Dial readings with three digits, 0-10-0 for example, signify that the indicator has a balanced dial. Dial readings with two digits, 0-100 for example, indicate the dial has a continuous dial. Balanced dials are used for reading the difference from a specific surface reference point. Continuous dials are used for direct readings and usually have a larger measurement range than balanced dials. These precision instruments measure small linear distances and object sizes. The dial magnifies the measurement so that it can be easily read by the human eye. Frequently used in manufacturing, laboratories, and other industrial or mechanical fields, dial indicators are used anywhere a small measurement must be found and recorded or transferred, such as checking the variation in tolerance of a workpiece. Standard dial indicators measure the displacement along the axis of the indicator. Dial test indicators are very similar to dial indicators, except that the axis of measurement is perpendicular to the axis of the indicator. Dial and dial test indicators...
