The Brown & Sharpe TESA measuring head for inside micrometers is an accessory for use with the Brown & Sharpe TESA Alesometer LCD capa micrometer. It has three-point contacts for self-centering measurement of the inside dimension (ID) of bores. The measuring head is made of high-grade tool steel for durability and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The measuring faces are made of hardened steel and may be uncoated or tungsten carbide-tipped for wear resistance, depending on the model.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Brown & Sharpe manufactures precision measuring equipment and metrology hand tools. The company, founded in 1833, played a key role in setting industrial standards in the United States. Brown & Sharpe was acquired by Hexagon Metrology in 2001, and is headquartered in North Kingstown, RI.

The Mitutoyo Digimatic tubular LCD inside micrometer includes a set of hollow, tubular extension pipes to help provide light weight with rigidity and balance shoulderswhen measuring inside dimensions of cylinders, rings, and parallel surfaces. It has a single-value LCD readout that displays in inch and metric units with resolution to 0.00005†(0.001mm), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data output to transmit results to a computer or external device. The output jack transmits SPC results to a computer through an interface cable (sold separately). The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. The electronics housing has an Ingress Protection 65 (IP65) rating, which means that components are resistant to penetration by dust and debris, and resistant to penetration by liquids and coolant up to the force of a low-pressure (to 30 kilonewtons/meter-squared) water jet. The measuring faces are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. The micrometer includes, and is powered by, a single SR44 silver oxide battery, and comes with a wooden case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. The calibrated Mitutoyo 543-562ACAL Absolute Digimatic electronic indicator gauge, ID-H series, is for measuring short linear distances in mechanical engineering, machining, and manufacturing applications. It has a measurement range of 0 to 1.2" (0 to 30.4mm), a selectable resolution of 0.00005/0.00002/0.0001", or 0.0005/0.001mm, and an accuracy of + or - 0.00006" (0.0015mm). The backlit LCD readout displays measurements in inches or metric units. The indicator has a go/no-go display that lights green or red, respectively, when upper and/or lower tolerances have been set. It has an analog bar indicator that shows lower and upper limit-approaching. This model is Ingress Protection certified IP30 for protection against objects larger than 2.5mm. Mitutoyo calibrated tools include a Certificate of Calibration that provides evidence that the tool has been calibrated and is within allowable error specifications. Mitutoyo calibrated tools are certified by Mitutoyo's American Association for Laboratory Accreditation-accredited calibration laboratory (A2LA Certificate #750-01) to the International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) 17025 International Standard for testing and calibration laboratories.Additional functions for this indicator include origin set, preset, zero set, maximum/minimum value hold, runout measurement, counting direction switching, and alerts for low voltage, counting value composition, overflow, and tolerance limit setting errors. An Absolute electrostatic capacitance-type linear encoder helps prevent overspeed errors and ensure accurate measurements. This unit has a 3/8" diameter stem and a #4-48 UNF contact point thread mount. The measuring force is 2.0 Newtons (N) or less. This gauge offers serial data output (using optional SPC cables, sold separately), which increases speed and reliability of digital measurement records. It also supports RS-232 data input and output for remote control (using RS-232C cables and a remote controller, sold separatel...

The Mitutoyo 192-152 dial height gauge has a measurement range of 0†- 24â€, and is precise to 0.001â€, with + or - 0.002†of accuracy. This height gauge has dual, resettable counters that additionally measure up and down distance changes, in 0.01†increments. A hand-operated feed wheel raises and lowers the gauge on the parallel beams, for ease of measurement. The scriber, used to mark a position on a workpiece, is 30 mm x 60 mm (H x L), carbide-tipped for hardness and to help prolong life, and is held to the gauge by a screw clamp for fastening ease. The grip-base helps hold the unit in position by hand. The height gauge weighs 21.6 lbs/9.8 kg. Height gauges, also called gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units. The vertical position of the gauge and its attached pointer are changed by turning a calibrated screw, or one or more feed wheels. Recorded rotations are read from a scale, a dial, counters, and/or an electronic display. A screw clamp holds the pointer to the gauge. The pointer is typically sharpened to act as a scriber, and can be used to mark a position on a workpiece by scratching its surface. On compatible units, the scriber may be replaced by an electronic touch-signal probe. Height gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering.
