The Standard Gage 07724002 dial height gauge has a measurement range of 0†- 24â€, and is graduated to 0.001â€. The dial display has a screw for manual adjustment of the zero position, and travels 0.1†on the beam for each revolution of the needle. The hand-operated slider raises and lowers the gauge on the beam, and a calibrated screw mechanism supports fine, uniform slider adjustments. A lock screw allows the user to hold measurements. The beam is graduated in standard inch units and made of stainless steel. The scriber, used to mark a position on a workpiece, is 8 mm x 57 mm (H x W), carbide-tipped for hardness and to help prolong life, and is held to the gauge by a screw clamp for fastening ease. The grip-base helps hold the unit in position by hand. The height gauge comes with a fitted case and inspection report. Height gauges, also called gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units. The vertical position of the gauge and its attached pointer are changed by turning a calibrated screw, or one or more feed wheels. Recorded rotations are read from a scale, a dial, counters, and/or an electronic display. A screw clamp holds the pointer to the gauge. The pointer is typically sharpened to act as a scriber, and can be used to mark a position on a workpiece by scratching its surface. On compatible units, the scriber may be replaced by an electronic touch-signal probe. Height gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. Standard Gage manufactures precision measuring equipment and metrology hand tools, and is a product line by Hexagon Metrology. Standard Gage is headquartered in North Kingstown, RI. Starrett Countersink Gauges are offered in three different angles so that the gauge sets on the angular side of the countersink, as opposed to a chamfer gauge which sets on the top edge of the chamfer. This gauge directly reads the large diameter of the countersink in 0.002" or 0.05 mm increments. A set master ring is furnished with each gauge for calibration and setting. Press the button on top of the indicator to firmly depress the gauge head into the countersink. When the gauge is removed, the indicator reading is held in place until the reset button is activated.

These are the most popular inside micrometers because of their lightness, ease of use, and range. They are very useful for measuring inside diameters of cylinders and rings, measuring parallel surfaces, etc. The desired range is obtained by assembling rods and spacing collars to the micrometer head. Measuring rods are provided with a shoulder that is set accurately in the micrometer head and locked in position. When assembling rods to the A and B heads, the reading line on the micrometer head should be lined up with the marking on each rod (except for the 50-75mm rods). Rod diameters are approximately 6mm (124MA) and approximately 8.5mm (124MC). Each rod has individual length adjustment for the anvil by means of special wrenches furnished. Movement of screw: 13 and 25mm (2 Heads), number of measuring rods: 10, number of spacing collars: One 12mm, One 25mm, Two 50mm.

The Mitutoyo 293 series Quickmike Coolant Proof LCD micrometer has a digital single-value LCD readout that displays in inch and metric units with resolution to 0.00005†(0.001mm) for outside diameter (OD) measurement. A ratchet thimble mechanism helps provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurement. It also has a non-rotating spindle that helps provide steady positioning during measurement, and a Quickmike spindle that feeds at a rate of 0.4†(10mm) per revolution for productivity. It uses the Mitutoyo ABSOLUTE electrostatic capacitance linear encoder to help prevent overspeed errors and help ensure repeatable, precise measurement. The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. An output jack transmits Statistical Process Control (SPC) data results to a computer or external device through an interface cable (sold separately). The micrometer has an Ingress Protection 54 (IP54) rating, which means that components are resistant to debris and to splashing water from any direction up to a volume of 10 liters per minute. The spindle and anvil have flat measuring faces and are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. The micrometer includes, and is powered by, a single SR44 silver oxide battery, and comes with a plastic case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth...

The Starrett stainless steel dual post dial height gauge has up/down counters that can be reset, a hand-operated feed wheel, a carbide-tipped scriber, and a glare-free rust-resistant, satin chrome finish. The dial gauge has distinct, easily read figures for precise measurement in gradations of 0.001". A lock holds the slide in position. Two separate digital counters register upward and downward travel. Zero setting capability resets to zero at any point for easy reading without special calculations. The gauge is lowered and raised smoothly and evenly on the dual beams by a hand-operated feed wheel with coarse and fine adjustment. The included scriber, used to mark position on the workpiece, is carbide-tipped for hardness and long life. The satin chrome finish on the scales resists rust and is glare-free. The base is ergonomically shaped for ease of handling and is hardened, ground, and lapped for maximum flatness.Height gauges, sometimes referred to as gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units. The vertical position of the gauge and its attached pointer are changed by turning a calibrated screw, or one or more feed wheels.
