The Mitutoyo 293 series QuantuMike Coolant Proof LCD micrometer has a digital single-value LCD readout that displays in inch and metric units with resolution to 0.00005†(0.001mm) for outside diameter (OD) measurement. A ratchet thimble mechanism helps provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurement. It also has a non-rotating spindle that helps provide steady positioning during measurement, and a QuantuMike spindle that feeds at a rate of 0.08†(2mm) per revolution for a higher rate of productivity than a conventional mechanism. It uses the Mitutoyo ABSOLUTE electrostatic capacitance linear encoder to help prevent overspeed errors and help ensure repeatable, precise measurement. The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. Depending on the model, an output jack transmits Statistical Process Control (SPC) data results to a computer or external device through an interface cable (sold separately). The micrometer has an Ingress Protection 65 (IP65) rating, which means that components are resistant to penetration by dust and debris, and resistant to penetration by liquids and coolant up to the force of a low-pressure (to 30 kilonewtons/meter-squared) water jet. The spindle and anvil have flat measuring faces and are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. The micrometer includes, and is powered by, a single SR44 silver oxide battery, and comes with a plastic case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diam...

The Starrett 436 series outside micrometer has a bow-type shape for measurement of large outside dimensions, a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise outside diameter (OD) measurements, and a ratchet-stop mechanism that helps provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurements. The micrometer’s frame is made of ribbed cast iron with perforations that helps provide light weight with rigidity. The vernier scale on the thimble and sleeve is graduated to 0.001†with a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The spindle and anvil have flat, micro-lapped steel measuring faces for accuracy. A knurled ring-type lock nut helps provide secure locking of the measurement position.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Certified coating thickness standards are ideal for verifying the accuracy and operation of coating thickness gages and are an important component in fulfilling both ISO and in-house quality control requirements. Many organizations require verification of gage accuracy at the test site each time a coating thickness gage is put into service and at frequent intervals during use. Ideal for this purpose, Defelsko certified coating thickness standards have measured values traceable to a national metrology institution. Used to verify the accuracy and operation of any type 1 (mechanical) and type 2 (electronic) magnetic, eddy-current or ultrasonic coating thickness gage. Ideal for use in the calibration lab, in the field or on the factory floor. Standards with steel substrates consist of 4 plates mounted in a protective binder. Individually serialized for traceability to NIST or PTB - includes a certificate of calibration. Certified and labeled in both metric and imperial units. Defelsko S series epoxy on steel round metal plate. For PosiTector 6000 F, FS, FRS, FN, FNS, FNRS and PosiTest FM Thickness Gauges. Approximate thickness: zero for plate 1; 75 micrometer / 3 mils for plate 2; 250 micrometer / 10 mils for plate 3; 1500 micrometer / 60 mils for plate 4. Coating/ substrate: epoxy on steel (ferrous). Accuracy: +/- 0.43 micrometer, +/- 0.017 mil. Plate Diameter: 38mm (1.5"); Measurement Diameter: 25mm (1").

The Mitutoyo 511-752 bore gauge is for performing close tolerance inside diameter measurements. The gauge (511-732) has a measurement range of 1.4 to 2.5", graduations of 0.0001", and an accuracy of + or - 0.0002". The dial indicator (2923SB-10) interface provides precise and easily readable measurements in inches. The contact points of this gauge are carbide-tipped for durability. This unit has a large, hollow-structured grip to reduce heat from the operator for accurate measurements. It comes with six anvils and four spacers for taking measurements, and a cover to protect the dial. The dial is balanced and has a reading of 0-5-0. The gauge has a measuring force of 4.0 Newtons (N) or less and a guide force of 6.0N or less.SpecificationsRange1.4 to 2.5"Graduations0.0001"Accuracy+ or - 0.0002"Range per revolution0.01"FaceDial, white face, shockproof, jeweled bearingDial reading0-5-0Measuring force4.0N or lessGuide force6.0N or lessStroke of contact point0.047"Probing depth6"Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment...
