The Mitutoyo 543-552A ID-F ABSOLUTE Digimatic indicator gauge measures to 1†(25.4mm), has a backlit LCD digital readout with resolution of 0.00005/.0001/.0005/.001â€, or 0.001/0.01mm, and Go/+ or - No-go (NG) judgment with red and green backlighting. An indicator is an instrument that measures short, linear distances in mechanical engineering, machining, and manufacturing applications. This indicator gauge has Go/+ or - No-go (NG) judgment when upper and lower tolerances are set. Red backlighting indicates when judgment is out of tolerance, and green backlighting indicates when judgment is in tolerance. A backlit LCD digital readout displays measurements in inches or metric units. Maximum, minimum, or runout value can be displayed during measurement. An adjustable analog bar indicator is integrated to handle lower and upper limit approaching, and zero approaching for ease of operation. An electrostatic capacitance linear encoder helps prevent overspeed errors, which in turn helps ensure repeatable, precise measurement. Once the measurement reference point has been preset, it will not be lost when the power is turned on. Statistical process control (SPC) output transmits results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer through an interface cable (sold separately). Specifications Range 0 to 1.0†(0 to 25.4mm) Resolution 0.00005/.0001/.0005/.001â€/, or 0.001/0.01mm Accuracy + or - .00012â€, .003mm Quantizing error 1 count Measuring force 0 to 1.8 newtons (N) or less Contact point .16†(D) steel ball (4-48UNF) 900032 Display Backlit LCD digital in inches or metric units. The Brown & Sharpe style A Intrimik vernier inside micrometer has three-point contacts for self-centering measurement of the inside dimension (ID) of bores, and a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise inside dimension (ID) measurements. The micrometer is made of high-grade tool steel for durability, with a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.0001†or 0.0002â€, depending on the model. A knurled friction thimble helps provide quick adjustment capability. The measuring faces are made of hardened steel and may be uncoated, TiN-coated, or tungsten carbide-tipped for wear resistance, depending on the model.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Brown & Sharpe manufactures precision measuring equipment and metrology hand tools. The company, founded in 1833, played a key role in setting industrial standards in the United States. Brown & Sharpe was acquired by Hexagon Metrology in 2001, and is headquartered in North Kingstown, RI.

These straight edges are precision ground and nicely finished to rigid Starrett standards. They are unexcelled for drawing or scribing straight lines and checking surfaces for straightness. Their thickness and design permit them to retain shape and accuracy, but still be portable and easy to handle. The No. 385 Series are beveled one edge, but not graduated. The No. 385 Series in sizes 36" and longer are marked with arrows at two suspension points. If the straight edges are brought to the work and used on edge, they should be suspended at these two points to minimize deflection. Most jobs involve the use of straight edges in the flat position - and it is in this position that we check most stringently.

The Mitutoyo 395 series LCD tube micrometer has a vertical anvil for measuring tubing wall thickness. It also has a digital single-value LCD readout that displays in inches and metric units with resolution to 0.00005†(0.001mm) for outside diameter (OD) measurement, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data output to transmit results to a computer or external device. The output jack transmits SPC results to a computer through an interface cable (sold separately). The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurement at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. The electronics housing has an Ingress Protection 65 (IP65) rating, which means that components are resistant to penetration by dust and debris, and resistant to penetration by liquids and coolant up to the force of a low-pressure (to 30 kilonewtons/meter-squared) water jet. The spindle has a flat measuring face that is carbide-tipped for wear resistance. The vertical anvil may be a pin, spherical, or cylindrical type. The micrometer’s ratchet-stop mechanism helps provide uniform pressure during adjustment for precise, repeatable measurement. A spindle lock helps provide secure locking of the measurement position. The micrometer includes, and is powered by, a single SR44 silver oxide battery, and comes with a plastic case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. The Mitutoyo 209 series internal measurement dial caliper gauge has a dial display and large measuring depth for taking inside dimension (ID) comparison measurements in standard inch units of hole diameters, thickness of grooves or tubes, and other hard-to-reach internal dimensions. They should be used with a setting ring or micrometer (sold separately). Depending on the model, the caliper may come with ball contact points suitable for measuring external wall thickness of tubes, chisel contact points suitable for measuring flat surfaces, or an interchangeable set of contact points. The calipers’ jaws are spring loaded, which provide the point contacts with constant measuring pressure. The calipers have an Ingress Protection 65 (IP65) rating, which means that components are resistant to penetration by dust and debris, and resistant to penetration by liquids and coolant up to the force of a low-pressure (to 30 kilonewtons/meter-squared) water jet. Calipers measure the distance between two opposing sides of an object. They make inside, outside, depth, or step measurements, according to their type. Calipers are commonly used in architecture, metalworking, mechanical engineering, and machining. The simplest calipers have two legs to mark the two points and require a ruler to take the measurement. More complex calipers use two sets of jaws instead of legs and have up to two graduated scales. Vernier, dial, and digital calipers give direct and accurate readings and are functionally identical, having a calibrated scale with a fixed jaw, and another jaw with a movable pointer that slides along the scale. The vernier caliper has a scale sliding parallel to the main scale for an additional, fractional reading to improve measurement precision. The dial caliper has a circular dial with a pointer on a toothed gear rack replacing the second vernier scale. As with the vernier, this second measurement is added to the reading from the main scale to obtain the result. The digital caliper takes a differential by zeroing the...
